Tinnitus is about the desire to be seen as a successful and talented singer, despite feeling like a failure. The lyrics describe the feeling of being lost and lonely, and using music as a way to cope with those feelings. The repeated mention of tinnitus, which is a ringing in the ears often caused by loud music, serves as a metaphor for the overwhelming noise and emptiness that the singer feels in their life. Despite not feeling like they have any special talent or story, they still aspire to be a rockstar and make a mark on the music world. However, they come to the realization that becoming a rockstar may not be possible and embrace the idea of being a "rock" or a "lonely stone" as a way to find their own path in life. Ultimately, the lyrics suggest that being content with oneself and finding one's own unique identity is more important than trying to fit into a preconceived mold of success.
Ah I see! Thank you so much for this comment I was having a bit of trouble fully understanding the meaning so this was so helpful! I love that they write about topics like this! I absolutely love the meaning of this song
Thank you for continuing to react to TXT 💙 Quarter Life is a subunit track from their most recent comeback with the three youngest members: Beomgyu, Hueningkai and Taehyun. The other two members (Yeonjun & Soobin) also had a subunit song on that album called 'The Killa' which you could check out - it's another afrobeat song (the same genre as Tinnitus). This is the second time TXT have done unit songs - their previous unit songs are Thursday's Child Has Far To Go (Soobin, Taehyun and Beomgyu) and Lonely Boy (Yeonjun and Hueningkai). I also really love and relate to the meaning of Quarter Life. One thing I love about TXT's concept is that it's all centred around the different stages of growing up. Since their debut, each album narrates the experiences and emotions of different stages of growing up so if you listen to their albums in order it becomes like a coming of a story which is really beautiful as you can always find a way to relate to the story they're telling. On a different note, TXT have a Tinnitus dance practice on there channel which might be cool to check out as I really like the choreography (plus it has an additional dance break!)
Omg thank you so much for the information!! I would love to check out the songs you mentioned! I think that’s amazing how they write lyrics about the stages of growing up not many groups talk about that! I’ll for sure watch the tinnitus dance practice! I haven’t seen much of their dancing yet so I’m excited for that! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for reacting TXT "Quarter life" is one of my favorites from the album TOMORROW. I love the meaningful messages in the lyrics, mv... Concept trailer... TXT has this thing of bringing works that resonate with people,.even though they address themes of youth and growing up even I as an older person can relate to a lot of their songs. They're coming out on November 4th with a new album: The Star Chapter: Sanctuary.
I absolutely love that they write about these types of topics!! Meaningful songs are my favorite types of songs☺️ I’ll for sure be reacting to the album as soon as it comes out! Thank you for watching! :)
I love both these songs and enjoyed seeing your reaction and thoughts on them💗You might enjoy checking out their Tiny Desk performance so you can hear their live vocals and a few more of their songs. They perform Skipping Stones (one of my favourite songs from them), Happily Ever After (which if I'm remembering correctly was the first snippet you heard from TXT...) and Chasing That Feeling (the title track of my favourite album by them). Also if you’re ever interested in learning more about the group, there’s an excellent guide by the channel beomie bear. It’s quite long, but they’ve also broken it up into six separate videos - one introducing the group and one for each member - so you don’t have to watch it all in one sitting. It’s a really well-made guide, and I think you’ll get a lot of insight into TXT as both artists and individuals, which could be really interesting.
Ooooo I actually didn’t know about their tiny desk performance I’d love to check that out! Thank you so much for the info omg! I’ll have to watch the guide very soon then :) thank you for watching!

Just a correction tinnitus is not a Latin vibe, it’s afrobeats originating from Nigeria, a country in west Africa
Ah thank you for telling me! I really had no idea about this genre! Now I know :)
