the uk does have guns although they are illegal
guns arent illegal in the UK. Handguns are but you could theoretically own an Uzi as long as its 22 calibre. Handguns are legal as long as the barrel is longer than 30cm so effectively anything small enough to be concealed is illegal. Just like most countries guns are highly regulated but they arent illegal you can for instance own the equivalent of an AR here.
