The title does not match the story. Superman and Clark never took any dying actions. Clark was suddenly apparently dead without any prior knowledge. Superman was never in any danger.
It was Lana Lang's apartment not a hospital room. Remember Clark is well known especially after news of his death. They (staffs at the hospital) were told that he's still alive.

That was the twist at the end also at the end Bowman realizing that clock is alive realizes at the point of death the clock it is super mad and this has nothing to do with the next episode with dockside, this was absolutely terrible.
