I’m sure it’s as bad, or worse, in the U.K. as it is in the U.S. today. We’ve had at least 50 years of male effeminization via social and media conduits. Western governments have spent at least as much time working to show their disdain and contempt for males of European descent.
Yes, you can change laws and develop terribly punitive consequences for those who will not fight for you. Maybe you get your armies. But what will those armies function like? The Rus’ and their meat waves?
All I’m saying is the west is in a major pickle right now. Just look at the recruitment stats for the U.S. military over the last decade. The pop is spent after a 20+ year loss on a foreign war that was really just trying to give them woman and gender rights. The pop has no cohesiveness like we had 1940. Back in the day, I as a soldier in the Parachute regiment, attached to a unit with a specific job to do in the event the Soviets invaded West Germany, was told in such an event we would have at max a ten day life expectancy.
We were also told to make sure that we didn't fall into Soviet hands under any circumstances.
The war in Ukraine has bought this last advice into very sharp focus. :(
As for the army now, it simply does not have enough mass or heavy equipment to fight a Russian army fighting in the way they are fighting in Ukraine. We don't have anywhere near enough air defence, artillery (tube and rocket), I could go on.
This is why it is in the UK's interest to stop Russia in Ukraine by helping the Ukranians with equipment, ammunition etc.

When it comes to defense, the uk says "the US will help us" so its like our taxes ensuring your safety. Nato is supposed to be countries in a partnership, not countries dependent on another.
Nobody is willing to invest in their own security. The only issue everyone cares about is the nhs, thats all i hear. (Because i care to read about it, the news doesnt mention uk affairs whatsoever)
I dont think you guys understand how big of an issue this is, im pro uk & our cooperation is important but its even frustrating to me. However, many people here dont gaf about the uk, politicians included, and very realistically wouldnt help you in a conflict.
We dont need your millitary or weapons, you have no production capacity, patriotism is low, will to fight is non existent, your vulnerable to blockade once again, etc. Many people dont see the value in our relationship or think its vital.
Its inexcusable to plan further cuts to the millitary in 2025 considering the conflict in the world. Nobody seems to understand the feeling in the US right now is isolation, and you cant blame them. Its easier to justify cooperation when both sides bring assets to the table. Despite trumps statements, & likely inevitable plans, despite the constant warnings from your military & intelligence officials, nothing changes.
Im afraid Your very likely to be in for a rough surprise if russia attacked you & its disappointing. Its not earn like your citizens could form impromptu millitias like in the us, because everyone has atleast 1 gun here, if not many more. But atleast you have the nhs right?

I’d say 6 weeks, but looking at the UK’s long standing military policies and practices, that was the intended goal.

where do you get the figure of 1500 russians being killed each day from ? All information available points to Ukrainians being losing large numbers with a lot of desertions as well ......

Just western propaganda buddy. Cant believe anything they say these days. They say russia is losing 1500 troops a day yet Biden and Blinken are the ones crying to reduce the conscription age from 25 to 18 in Ukraine. I wonder why ??? Meanwhile Russia still call this a Special military operation, not war and didnt even start drafting.

Several independent sources confirm this. Whatever number Ukraine has, triple or quadruple that for russia, their meat wave tactics are not exactly a secret.

The country that previous soldiers fought for or defended doesn’t exist anymore, and my guess is that there'd be few volunteers these days. Also our army with those numbers would scarcely last a few weeks.

Sooner, the British Army of August 1914 suffered 100% casualties by December. They were recalling former servicemen who hadn't worn a uniform in years and sending them to the front with no training.
