Smaller wavelength means more energy per photon (the particles that make up EM waves) Visible light is in between infrared and ultraviolet. It's called infrared because it's "less energy than red". It's ultraviolet because "it's more energy than violet". Blue light has more energy than red light. So, you can't have red UV because UV comes after violet light in terms of energy. Red is the least energy form of visible light and is next to infrared. Red UV is a scientific impossibility. To really get a visual, find a light spectrum graph. Radio waves, microwaves, UV, IR, gamma, and visible light are all basically the same thing, the only difference is their wavelength. This is probably a infrared bed, and because this machine isn't perfect, some of the light is coming off as red instead of infrared. Infrared beds do not tan you, they are basically a different form of saunas. Red light anf infrared penetrates deeper than higher energy light. You can test this easily. Put your hand on bright red light and you will see it shine through except your bones. Place your hand on bright blue light and you will block it completely.
