I always keep encouraging family and friends to start a poultry farm. Now I have come to realise that it's actually my passion not theirs 😂. You are a wonderful trainer, thanks for sharing. I keep learning and hopefully soon I will share some progress
I feel encouraged whenever I watch your videos. I have learnt lots and looking forward to setting up a poultry project soon in Zimbabwe. Thank you for inspiring many of us.
If you have problem with diarrhea on your farm you could give them some diluted acid into the water. This would lower the pH of the chicken's gut and limit the growth of the bacteria. That's what we do on our farm.
Am in ghana and u have motivated me to start a poultry project myself. I will definitely start my the end of the year. I will start small and grow as u said
Great job! I have learned so much from you to start my own poultry farm. Try and use liquid paraffin it helps to loosen the poop and hence prevents it from getting stuck.
@@FarmUp how about buying a radiator like these ones used during winter season to warm up the place? How do you see? Nze ndaba eba esobola okukola bulungi. Ogula emu yokka and you set the temperature which you want. Doctor nziramu. Waiting
Avoiding Pasty Butt is soooo easy. I dig out moist dirt from my vegetable garden as it is full of little worms, nematodes and all sorts of good bacteria. My chicks eat everything, including the dirt and they never have Pasty Butt. If you raise them in a sterile environment their gut does not contain the good bacteria which they would get if they were to scratch around in real moist dirt which is filled with good bacteria, nematodes, worms and other bugs.
Thermal heat is cheaper than electric heating; I would not advise using the 250W electric bulbs. You should consider an innovation made from a solar water heater linked to hot water tank. I think you need hot air at no more than 40 degrees so the stored hot water should easily heat the poultry house.
Sorry doc,. Maybe try to them special heat...and more glucose water plus put like two that re okey...so that the sick ones remember to be active...u will succeed either way
Doc, we would love get some updates on the OG farm as to how the birds are doing with their egg laying, who is taking care of them while you are busy here, and would love to see how the black soldier flies are doing etc. ❤️
Awesome Dr thanks for the updates But brother think about using biogas cause you have enough cattle and chickens to provide wastesfor biogas to cu costs of fuel on the farm short.God bless you Dr.
Hello doctor Daniel I hope you are well me too. I would to know that , how many kgs of feed that I can feed to the 1300 Layers from day one to the point of layer?
I have been attempting daylight free-range birds but I have a red tailed hawk helping herself to my feather babies and we are not allowed to kill or injure hawks in my state so for the moment I'm hopeless against her BUT I'm working on a chicken decoy that would be an unpleasant experience to grab, nothing that would hurt her, just something totally unpleasant so wish me luck folks! Much love from Georgia, USA
DOC, i dont think i would allow those sickly chicks into the genetics pool, like survival of the strongest,, they might make good egg layers ,, but they are weak,, i am not sure i would use them as breeders my self this is just my thoughts,, thank you for the tips

Mortality is a bit on the high side, some management issues. Brooding temperature seems to be on d high side too.
Great work brother

Hello Doctor Daniel
MA ASHA ALLAH. I enjoy poultry farming
Great I'm intending to venture into poultry
Hello doctor Daniel I hope you are well me too.
I would to know that , how many kgs of feed that I can feed to the 1300 Layers from day one to the point of layer?
You give me hope Man
Learning alot from you keep on posting
I've never missed any of your episode.
I wonder, why import birds?
In my opinion, I would think local birds are much more easily adapted to the climate and cheaper to procure too.
It doesn't work like that always
Unfortunately no local supplier for parent breed.
imported.for better breed
Good day DR i am from Namibia can u maybe drop ur number some of us Need mentors.
@@asiimwejoweria2584 I really don't believe the "imported better breed" theory tbh.
I believe the perception to be flawed.
So nice
Experience is the best teacher 😍🇺🇬
Hi Doc, I can see you could be having a challenge of heat
Videos on vaccination schedule doctor am really upgrading my poultry system
Hey Doc great job,
What is the name of this breed of chicks
Hey Dr Daniel let me one of those previlaged farmer to buy your very first chicks.
3,900 parent stocks. That’s a lot of capital. Good luck and happy farming.
this is exciting.
The faecal impaction is most likely due to overheating, so check up
Great work bro
Your brooding temperature may also likely be the caused
That's perfect brooding temp
Can you supply to someone in Kenya?
How old are they now..have not seen new video after this
what breeds of chicken to cross to produce an ISA brown?

Kill it and burry it.....
@@wedjongkwowe4679 I agree with this.
Or better still, burn it and sprinkle the ashes on your farm.
@@kindlyhelpgetksubscribersw9758 I would have killed it a long time ago...
Your chicks needs vitamin E, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and vitamin A. Also increase the dose of your vitamin for weaked birds.glucose is a must.
They are given all that
how do I make my own feed for two months old free range chicks which are mixed ie male and famale?
Make biogas digester to provide electricity to the farm
Expecting a video after you take off that brooder paper and use those automatic drinkers instead of those small ones 😀
Dr.Daniel if I want a good breed of layers, from your farm, how can I get them?
Good evening, I am thinking Weather to buy a day old chicks or hatching my own eggs, which one is advisable.
It depends on the type of birds kept
@@FarmUp ISA brown
Out of the original 4000 losing that many isn’t bad I’ve heard of such heavier losses
