  • Chairman of the Māngere-Otāhuhu Local Board Tauan'u Nick Bakulich was critical of Auckland Council's decision to place the South Auckland evacuation centre at Randwick Park, "the intel was telling us the impact was here in Māngere."
"Why they chose Randwick Park which is 20km away? They need to review why they chose that space."

I'm sure you'll also be aware that half of Australia has flooded repeatedly for the last 12 months ( all the areas that 2 years ago were burning) When our politicians finally pull their heads out their butts and recognise the climate is rapidly changing it will be far too late. Our poor, poor grandchildren what have we given them?

      The government are doing nothing
They don’t even have where to go for help listed
The only pressor I can find this week from the intern PM he talks about ‘hunting’ the unharmed down Three times he said that and Auckland- nothing crickets nothing
I guess we need to face facts they have an agenda to bring the country to its knees, displacing people it just one part.
Where are these people going to be housed in the long term.
We are on our own, it’s up to us to start picking up the pieces and starting over.
These guys are doing an awesome on of that right now
It’s good that at its core New Zealand has not lost its soul
God of nations at thy feet in the bonds of love we meet
      Hear our voices we intreat.......
All the best to you hey bro

Sounds wonderful and good advice until we start coming to terms with the fact that many many people in NZ right now don’t know how they’ll make it through the week.
