- Round 4 of the British National MTB XC Race series saw us take on the brutal course at, Woody's Bike Park down in Cornwall.
Being a bike park this course really did have everything, with some brutal climbs, rock gardens and big drops; it was definitely the most challenging course of the season!
The super hot conditions made for a seriously physical and mental test, as well as the course bring super dry and fast. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good race for me, with a puncture early in the race, which put an end to a good result for me... but on to the next one!

Now that's an XC course. Beautiful. Rippin it in Cornwall, very cool. Riding through treacle, bwah ha ha! Tough break. Still looked like a lot of fun.
Absolutely mega course probably the best one on the UK circuit… I’m looking forward to going back next year and hopefully having a better performance
I feel your pain, I drove all the way to Scotland for an MTB race only to crash on my practice lap and didn’t even get to the start, surely you have some tubeless tyres to use.
Ahh man absolute nightmare! I guess it’s just one of those things… I had the same when I drove 3 hours a couple of years ago for a race and crashed out on lap 1 😅
Such bad luck Giorgio! Happened to me in a race this year, another rider stopped & inflated my tyre allowing me to finish. I always carry a co2 pump now.
Just one of those things, I should have just stopped in pits but either way my race would of been over so I tried to just ride it out 😅

@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling lovely area to go to, i would of raced myself but we have a surf trip coming up down there very soon. I saw you did the Zennor road to lands end with the rocket. Next time your down forget lands end and turn to Sennen cove much better coffee and pasties and beautiful beaches.

It’s a great course super tough and technical! Yep he had his race socks on this time 😜
To be fair I have tried to film Luke on berms - he just disappears! Its a beast of a course - well done on just getting up those climbs and on to the next one.
He was flying… tell him I want a downhill crash course once the season is over 😂

dude, unlucky but Del did set you up running tubes! Tubeless and carry CO2 or even go enduro and run an insert on the rear..course looked proper TNS fun rather than race, looked full on, great video showing the race weekend, at least Ronald sorted things out in the end! chin up :)
Can’t blame dad for this one… I was set up tubeless but got a flat on a ride a few weeks back and decided to put an inner tube in and didn’t have time to replace it 😅 the course was great fun and super fast, will definitely be back next time for revenge 👌
That looks like a good but testing xc course... 😊👌 Gutted for you but running tubes in 2023 is just mad! 😂 I'm also surprised you didn't ride your Spesh as it's made for that kind of course 👌

Super tough course you definitely need the full package and I was originally running tubeless but got a flat a few weeks ago and put a tube in but didn’t have time to replace the tyre so just went with it… never mind 👎 I was on the epic, I just warm up on the hard tail as it has a power meter 👌

Go tubeless with tyre inserts
I was tubeless originally but a few weeks ago I got a flat on a ride and put an inner tube in and didn’t have time to replace it… never mind 👎
Yeah you have to be running tubeless tubes are completely pointless. Carry plugs and co2 every race
I will be going tubeless again before the next race… I did have it set up tubeless but got a flat a while back and just put an inner tube in as I didn’t have time but you live and learn
