  • I love beef ribs. Here's my experiment to see which is better, ribs with BBQ sauce or with a dry rub, cooked in the Instant Pot. Dude decides with The Taste!

    My grandma always bought the rotisserie seasoning from the Dillon’s (Kroger) for beef and pork ribs to use as the dry rub. So good.

    I would go with the dry rub to get the beef flavor. I think Dude is on the right track with this one! I actually never really thought about a dry rub in the IP, def will try this!

    First of all I love your videos, you and Dude make a great team, I like both dry and bbq sauce ribs, but I just like a really thin layer of sauce cause I don't want the sauce to over power the flavor of the meat. keep the videos coming please :)

    We tried the dry rub (on St. Louis ribs, no beef ones at our Costco) and they're delicious! Dude is right about the rub enhancing the flavor of the meat. Great recipe!

    I just made this a couple of days ago, and slow cooked it for 3 1/2 hours in the oven. Thanks for showing us how to do it in Instant Pot. I dry rubbed it first and BBQ sauce it after😁

    Did anyone else feel that the "Taste" took forever to taste? I just wanted to say, quit talking Dude and just eat it! Looks so good!! I was sad to see the price was 7$ a lb for the ribs here in Edm, AB. We are the cow province and can't afford the beef! lol

    I love finishing ribs off on the Philips Smokeless Grill after making them in the instant pot! It goes on sale sometimes on Amazon or Canadian tire

    @MarkRendon I agree with you. The reason I would spend more on buying prime rib is the flavor. I want to enjoy that cut of beef. When using less tender cuts then a small amount of sauce with some on the side for dipping.
    @EdmonUyan I love using liquid smoke. It’s a great idea.

    I've always favored pork ribs, but now I'm thinking it's because the beef ribs I've eaten were never really tender. I'm going to give beef ribs another try because those pressure cooked dry rub ones look really tender and delicious. Thanks Flo and Dude.

    Great video, as always. Both versions look awesome...I'm anxious to try both, as well. I will probably try in my Foodi, as I can Pressure Cook and Broil in the same unit. I will also try on my Weber Grill as another comparison. I actually have 2 Weber's...I'm in the process of refurbishing one (that's 18 yrs old and still looks like new on the outside), and I got a new one in the meantime during prime grilling season...I will probably give the refurbished one to my son...although he love's his charcoal Weber....but gas is nice for being fast and easy. Anyway, thanks for this video and recipes...

    The last time I did beef ribs,I did a dry rub and then I threw them in the smoker.towards the end of the cook i sauced them every 15 minutes.

    I prefer dry ribs, don’t like sauced at all, so I just make them at home cause restos only offer the the wet/sticky ones. Blrgh!

    I was rooting for the dry rub myself. But for the saucy type, what was the brand and flavor you used Flo?, I couldnt read it. Also, I hope a Webber Grill is in your future! You two are my Faves👍.

    It would be interesting to see what would happen if you did the dry rub and then, cooked them in the air fryer (assuming, of course, that the ribs would fit in the airfryer). P.S. While I love watching your IP videos, it has been a while since you've done an airfryer one. Any chance that one will come any time soon? 😉😊😊

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  5 лет назад

      Thanks, Colleen! I have to say, I don't use the air fryer as much as I thought I would. Probably because the basket is too small!

    Tell me why i got some ribs from my favorite Asian supermarket and they shriveled up in the oven after 2 hours at 200 degrees?! 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😩😩 i was so sad. But i got some Kroger this time and I’m trying the dry rub method for the first time. I should’ve watched your video like 2 days ago because i have no idea how this is going to turn out 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
