You nailed all the points. The term 'archive' is confusing because it would appear to mean something backed up and not visible but wordpress uses the term to essentially mean a living catalog. Also, do you create an archive page? No, it is already there. Hardly any other videos touch upon this

Awesome jp when I was starting out long ago I always tot achieve page was back up of my pages lol I wish they just name it post page or post category lol
There are a number of namings that I wish we could change, but they are leftovers from when things were still fresh. Archive sounds like "deleted", right?

So an archive page is a type of page that once is assigned (in settings) to a page (that you created) it will display all the posts in that page... and you can have only ONE main one and create several archive pages based in categories... hopefully I got it right cus I'm a little confused Great video btw the best out there

Wow... so is it really so simple? Took me a few hours looking here and there and I could not find where to display my posts! I created a template (archive) for displaying my posts but I could not figure out where on earth my template was applied. After 10 tutorials... here's the answer! People teach how to create a template for your posts but the VERY obvious where this templates go is disregarded.

today I learned the post pages is archive page LOL. using WordPress from 5 years
I name my page to blogs but it comes up as archive which I don't want. How to change that ?? I am currently using a custom theme as well.

Is it possible to do 2 archive pages or multiple archive pages with specific content on each archive page? Can you show how to do that please?
You can't have 2 main Archive pages set, you can have only 1 Posts Archive. But you can have multiple Archive pages as Blog Categories. You can go to Posts > Categories, create a couple of categories and allocate some Posts in those categories. Categories pages are considered Archives pages as well. Hope this helps.
