- Hello!!! Welcome or welcome back to my channel!!! In today's video we are going on a houseplant tour. This is the official Houseplant Tour Summer 2023 video, part one. I am breaking my houseplant tour video into parts because I have so many plants.
This video will cover all of the plants in my Living Room. There are 37 plants. Some of the plants you will see are Philodendron, Lots of Hoyas, my Scindapsus collection and so much more!

Your cactus is a domino cactus (easter lily cactus) and will produce a large white bloom that smells like jasmine. It's a night bloomer and you will need to snap a pic when you get up in the morning, as the bloom only lasts a few hours. Just be patient, the bud is in the early stages. Love your dress, with or without the belt. Your plants are all beautiful. What a talented macrame artist you are. Love your eclectic home decor.

@@ThePinkTrellis That is the beginning of the flower bud. It will elongate and you will start to see a green stem underneath. Eventually the fuzzy hair will start to get sparse and you will see the large bud. Be patient, it's doing it's thing! Mine has flowered 3 times so far thus year and is working on 4 new buds.
@@ThePinkTrellisI like to think the flower buds look like sweet fluffy 🐇 bunny butts until they get bigger. Then they morph into almost obscene hairy asparagus looking stalks before they bloom. It's a beautiful white flower though. Mine bloomed just this past Sunday and I have another bunny butt getting ready. I forgot to smell mine, but I did catch it in the morning in time to snap a picture while it was wide open. Enjoy the process, I hovered over mine for weeks as it developed.

Hello! I just love your videos! I also love how you place your plants within your home: they're there, they're noticeable but they don't overwhelm (not clustered together, so that nothing stands out, as some collectors do).
I had a little laugh at the beginning. It doesn't matter what part of the world we're from, we still suck in our stomachs and try to find ways to manage the process 😅 Also, the description of the 'hairy flower growth' cactus was hilarious 😂

Oh, my gosh, so much so much, but first of all, thank you. The dress is gorgeous such a beautiful color and the embroidery is fine. My dressina lives outside in the summer time. I'm sure someone else has already told you. You're Domino cactus is getting ready to Bloom. Mine blooms in the afternoon and lasts about 6 hours. Make sure you get a picture of the front and the back. It will be Gorgeous. I see mama plants to sum up my babies. And I am hoping that 1 dmy million hearts will be as beautiful as yours. Can't wait for volume two

Hello, I lover of clothes myself. Sorry ,I like the belt off. With all of the design / embroidery on the dress the belt is really not needed. Your figure shows nicely with the form of the dress without the belt also..Thank You as always
Hello Dorothy!!! Thank you!!! The dress was definitely meant to be worn belt-less as there are no belt loops sewn in. I really like it both ways. There is for sure enough decoration on the dress that it could stand alone without anything added. Thank you 🥰.

About your little Elephant Bush, I live in the Yuma Arizona desert and summers are brutal. It will be 116 today and Elephant Bush grows year round here in the full hot sun and are drought resistant. I have a large bush in a pot that is thriving in its sunny location outside. Their stems are easy to propagate in water. I water thoroughly about once every two weeks with tap water that is so salty no one can drink it. I tried a starting inside at a south window under an awning and after about a year it had lost most of its leaves. Donna
Sounds like I need to move mine to a brighter location. I think I know exactly what I'm going to do with it. It will be in direct sun if I go along with my plan. Thanks for the info on it!!! :)

Well this is my third comment today but I have your cactus with the hairy growth. It is an Easter Lily Cactus. Mine is outside in a large pot in full sun in the hot Arizona desert. It usually has 12 to 15 blooms at the same time about 4 times a year. Your hairy growth will develop a tall plump hairy stem with a bud and will open with a beautiful lily like bloom that will be there only a few hours so be sure to check each morning once it develops a bud. The cactus will grow pups and become large. Let dry out for long periods. I’ve heard the bloom well when under stress. They are pollinated by a certain moth so I don’t know how that happens when inside the house. Donna

For starters, I love your dress! And the belt is a good touch. It adds some shape to the dress itself. Your prayer plant is coming along beautifully. My first ever "gotta have it" plant was a red vein prayer plant. It went through a phase where either wasn't doing well but now that I've gotten the hang of it, it's got a ton of new leaves. I love videos like this because it always adds to my wish list. Lol. The tortum for example, has a beautiful shape and I LOVE how the leaves unfurl. I've also wanted a hoya compacta and had no idea it would get that beautiful pink. I just think the way the leaves shape together is really interesting. And finally, your pothos look great. I did recieve my N'joy pothos and had a bit of a crisis with it. Lol. After replanting them with my adansonii, most of the vines didn't bounce back as I expected. After some inspection I found that they were rotting under the soil! I have no idea what happened. Regardless, I removed the ones I could save (2), cut the healthy nodes off the rotting ones, and started rerooting them. It's doing better now and will be fantastic in a few months....regardless I love it and I'm so glad to have it! Thanks for the video!
Hi, Lindsey!!! Thank you 💚💚💚. The Tortum is fantastic. I’ve never heard of anyone regretting getting one. I’m sure they are out there, but I don’t see that ever happening for me. They are just so cool!!!! I think the key to get that white and pink on the Compacta is very high light. Sorry about the n’ joy setback but I’m sure with time it’s going to be amazing!!!! Gena, your dress is super cute! 👏👏I just purchased 2 Dragon Tree Margenata and 2 Green, along with 2 4" hanging baskets of scindapsus that were tossed on the clearance rack at Lowe's. I would like a philodendron tortum down the road. Your home is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I *ADORE your dress!!* Also my oldest plant is a Moonshine Sansevieria (I know they were declassified but I prefer to call it that) aaaaaand last thing, that's definitely a Pearls and Jade Pothos because the white parts have beautiful speckling. N'joy just has pure white parts.

I got that off of Etsy. It’s vintage and it came with a matching basket that’s a little bigger. If you are lucky you can sometimes find them at the thrift stores 😊.

@@ThePinkTrellis I will but it could be a few days. I had to tweak the bathroom cabinet do over BIG change there lowering it 12 inches or so. YIKES scary. It was so late when I gt it back together last night I just put the plants onto it wherever they fit. The dining room is done but I still have that big mosaic window on my table. I need to get it hung up. I have been terrible squirrley lately jumping from one mess to another without finishing up

LOL Always. Yesterday I woke at 4:45 ,I am NOT an early bird. I just could not shut it down. finally got up about 5:15 had 2 coffees and started in. Was a super long day.

Do you water your many plants in place or do you take each one to the sink or shower each time? Also do you bottom or top water? Donna
I take a bucket with me around the house as I'm watering and drain the pots into the bucket. Some I water in place and let the drip tray catch the runoff and then let the plant bottom water from that. mostly I top water my plants. The only ones that don't get from the top are in self-watering pots.

I had to get rid of my draceana bcuz my cat kept eating it 😅 she didn’t seem to get sick sick from it but, she would puke it back up again.

Mor'n from NY. Your Dress is nice and I agree could be 60's or 70's and you look just fine in it. However that Dragon Tree in that planter with no holes to me is a no no. And the shape of the bowl for the roots is a no no. That bowl is better for succulent or cactus plants. Now, this is just my opinion. Thank you for tour and have a blessed one.
Thanks! I agree on the no hole planter. It looks like it’s been in there for a long time. Most likely I’ll be transplanting it to something more appropriate when I get some time. Paul, who hangs out here with me 😊, suggested using it as a drain tray for the plant once it’s in a deeper pot. I’m going to see how that looks. Thanks for sharing your opinion 💕💕💕.

I don't think that's a flower on that cactus. I have a cactus like that and it is growing a fuzzy ball too. I thought it was growing a pup but now I wonder. 🤔
My understanding is that the flower comes from that fuzzy part. The fuzzy starts going away and a flower stem starts to form. Sounds pretty cool!!!

@@JuanellHopper they bloom at night and you have to catch it early morning. I think it’s a very fast process so keep a close eye on things so you don’t miss it. It smells like jasmine and is beautiful. That’s what other people told me here in these comments 💕💕💕.
