His ability is so simple, and yet it's perhaps the most effective of them all; a lot of the monsters can be downright disgusting or unnerving, but there is something truly viscerally terrifying about a monster appearing before you and just . . . growing. Larger and larger, seemingly without limit, as though breaking the very constraints of reality around it. It doesn't matter how big you are or can get, because he can get even more massive.
When your power is to basically become (or at least appear as) an all-consuming, titanic entity, there's very little that can match it.

I also loved the episode Fear Thy Name is Ickis. He actually did a lot of looming scares in that episode. It was great! I really have a great time when he is the focus on any particular episode, especially when he is scaring people. But yeah, Ickis while fearful and insecure since he has to live up to the legacy of his father Slickis, he is my favorite character because regardless of his flaws, he makes up for it when he gets over his fears and becomes quite a beastly monster!
I always laugh at the whoopie cushion sound effect when Ickis shrinks back.
