Jeff sweared on his father's grave.. Who was Jeff's father again? He must have been Cecil's and Jason's brother..? Or was it Jeff's mother that was a Colby?
Jeff's father was thought to be Philip Colby who had been presumed dead for many years - was the wayward younger brother of Jason & Cecil. During a trial regarding the brothers' elder sister Constance's mental competency - instigated by Sable - in season 1 of "The Colbys" it came out that Jeff's biological father was actually Jason (which in the final season of "Dynasty" made for some interesting fodder). Philip turned up alive toward the end of the 2nd (final) season of "The Colbys"; Jeff's mother was Francesca who was the younger sister of Sable (Sable at the start of "The Colbys" was married to Jason - they later split up since he had an affair with Francesca). Oddity in the casting was that Sable was the older sister but Katharine Ross (Francesca) was in real life several years older than Stephanie Beacham (Sable).
I didn't know that Jeff strangled poor old uncle Cecil like that! He sure did deserve it though!
