  • In this Video, I am going to explain why I love my bmw z3 so much. I've had many cars over the years, but theres something that can't compare to the driving experience the bmw z3 and z4 gives you in exchange.
I'll show you why I believe my 2000 bmw z3 is one of the the best cars for the money and value there is of any roadster available today.
Cars have evolved into large, heavy, and bulky performance machines. But what about the days of enjoyment? I believe this car still holds it's innocence. Still one of the best experiences available on your local craigslist today.
Please Subscribe and Like for future content! I'd like to make more of these videos.

I fully agree with his comments. Because I had a Z3. It does put a smile on your face. It turns heads. Yes, you have to do things. Drive it. All down to earth. Early morning drive on the freeway, sun coming up, freeway is clear, empty. Top down, music on. Now you are alive. Breathing in fresh, cool air. Life is for living. The Z3 provides that.

The Z3 seems to surprise people the first time they drive one. At first you might look at it and think it's kind of garish, then you get in and you are wrapped in leather, then you look out at that long hood and see the power bump, then you feel how well planted it is and and how short the shifter is and that razor sharp steering and that torquey straight six that gurgles and hums and you are impressed. Great car.

This car is the reason why I love to make milk runs just down the road. You described why the Z3 is such a pleasure to drive! I've owned my '98 1.9L for years now and I grow more and more attached to it every time I'm behind the wheel. There really is nothing like it anymore. My 1.9L isn't setting any track/top speed records or 0-60 times but there is something about it that makes driving an experience--not a task. I think I'm going to go for a drive now, see you later!

I’m so close to owning a z3! Just a full month of saving and I’m good to go. I’ve never driving manual before, but driving in a z3 just looks so much fun. Especially not knowing how to drive a manual will make the bond between me and the car more special. It’s going to be my first car and while my friends, co workers and majority of the young people in my city are getting super cars, fancy cars, big trucks. I’m gonna be smiling while driving, enjoying every moment, and with the top down with the speakers up.

Your Z is beautiful and you nailed it with the experience. I have had many cars in my garage but the Z STAYS! A memory machine I am happy to plug into when I need to pull the plug on everything else. Wow! I can’t belive it!
Finally , after 17 years, I have found somebody to have almost exactly the same Z3 as I have 👍😬 on RUclips! in a beautiful shot video 👍
after face lift (I guess build in 2001) same engine, same aliminum rims, the color of the exterior and interior with fhe wooden fittings, literally everything the same ! except for the steering wheel (mine has wooden elements)
I have seen so many Z3 over the years ( I own it since 2004) but not one of them came even close!
As you said: its a pure joy to drive this car and to feel the great handling and very direct steering 👍
I had many cars in my live (private and company cars) but this one is something special...
This one puts always a smile on my face 😃
Me and my son can‘t wait for the summer season to start in a couple of days and to take our ,green frog‘ for a ride on a winding road!

Last year, I purchased a 2001 BMW Z3 3.0i Roadster 5-speed manual. I love this car. I've had to do a lot of work on it. Nothing crazy, but stuff you would have to do to a car that's 17 years old. 162k on my 01 z3 3.0 and it still runs like a champ! It's needed quite a bit over the last 7 years (Vanos seals, valve cover gasket, brakes, bushings, tie rods, shocks/struts, ect. ect.) But I've done everything myself by reading online and I must say everything has been very DIY friendly (Fan hub wrench is my only special tool) and parts don't typically break the bank when you install them yourself and buy savy (Not part of the drive train? Aftermarket. Important mechanical component? OEM always). This car has been a joy to drive as well as repair and I plan to keep it as long as humanely possible!

One other comment. They're basically analog everything, which makes it HUGELY reliable. And I changed the radio (kept the original in a box) so I can use bluetooth, but that's the only upgrade. Only issue I ever had was the oil filter "stalk" gasket. All the plugs and coils are on top of the engine and easy to get to. I use an oil extractor to change the oil. you can slip under the rear end to change the differential fluid. I had the transmission serviced when I first bought her because she was already 10 years old. No biggie. Best value from a car of ANY. And I love her color . . . . pistacchio green, which is like a gold green. Nothing else like her on the road.

I have owned the BMW Z3 6-cylinder, 3.0 I model with the KIT M for 11 years now. For my part, I have driven 85,000 km with this car and I still enjoy driving it without any breakdown, it never breaks.
Passionate about this BMW Z3 Roadster since its release when I first saw it in the James Bond film, I ended up acquiring one in 2008. A black metallic model with chrome grille on the front is of great elegance. The BMW Z3 convertible is ideal for ballads. The dynamism and curves of this car are classic and perfect. That's all you would expect from a convertible of this class. Its 3.0-liter engine and particularly pleasant sound give me full satisfaction in acceleration, but the primary idea of owning a BMW Z3 is not to burn tires while accelerating, as much as possible with its power of 231 HP, but to enjoy the fun of driving this car. I will keep it for many more years, because the resale value will be greatly appreciated in a few years, like a collectible car even in a reduced model as a trinket.
The faults are very difficult to find. Its suspension is rigid but, with the sport pack (M KIT), and the lowering of the car which gives it good looks, we cannot ask for everything. For a sports car, there are always compromises to be made to have the pleasure of driving, in this case it is comfort. If you are looking for both it is impossible, comfort without driving pleasure is offered at a much lower cost with a Toyota Camry. To conclude, I love it, and everyone loves this car, very reliable, it never breaks so inexpensive in maintenance.

I have a 97 Z3 1.9, The day I test drove it I bought it. Actually It saved my life from making it fun to drive. My friends freak out living where I have curves everywhere. At 55 to 60 I get this slow down. I just tell them here just drive it a bit. It had 140,400 miles now 180,000. I even use it as a service vehicle. I'm a boat tech, yep I never had a customer doubt my mechanical ability, and I get paid well. Seems that when I pull my tools out of the trunk, They ask I bet it cost a-lot to work on don't it? I say Nope when you pull wrenches for a living it is the simplest car to work on. I say maintenance is the secret, like your boats. care for it don't skimp or get lazy virtually cheap for the fun. I will upgrade but this one will my favorite and always have a place in the main garage door first in line for the next time. It's a driver I just don't understand If you own one why keep it in the garage as a show piece, only rich dumb-ass do that, penis envy right?

I've had my 2000 Zed 2.8 for about 3 years. I have the drop top and the removable hard top for winter. You cannot drive this car and not have a huge smile on your face. I think my car actually looks for curves in the road to eat. The only way you will ever get this car from me is if I leave it to you in my will after I am gone. I hope this doesn't sound too corny, but, "thank you" BMW.

I HAVE BMW Z3 1999, I AGREE TO EVERYTHING YOU SAID ON THIS VEDEO. I DON’T HAVE THE OTHER CARS THAT YOU HAVE. BUT I HAD CORVETTE., BMW 4 DOOR SEDAN , MERCEDES . MY BMW Z3 IS THE BEST ULTIMATE DRIVING EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY Z3 , YES SOMETIMES IT GIVE ME THE SMILE ON MY FACE. SPECIALLY WHEN THE TOP IS DOWN. YES THE Z3 IS NOT TO IMPRESS ANYBODY , BUT TO GIVE MYSELF A MOMENT OF FUN TO DRIVE A MACHINE THAT IS ALMOST CONNECTED TO MY LIFE STYLE THE Z3 IS A COMBINATION OF A MOTORCYCLE AND A SPORTS CAR. I LOVE RIDING MOTORCYCLE BUT I DON’T FEEL SAFE ON MOTORCYCLE , BUT THE Z3 BECAUSE OF ITS SIZE , THE WEIGHT, THE QUICKNESS . HOP IN HOP OUT , IT GIVES ME THE FEELING LIKE RIDING A MOTORCYCLE BUT IN A COMFORTABLE WAY AND I DON’T HAVE TO PUT MY FEET ON THE GROUND LIKE WHEN RIDING A MOTORCYCLE. IT IS PRICELESS.FEELING DRIVING THE Z3.

I drove my 2005 EP3 civic daily since I purchased her in 2007. It was my daily for college, med school, military and beyond. A lot is broken on that car but she still fires up and gets me from point A to point B. But her age and flaws are showing and my coworkers and family kept telling me I needed a new car because it’s old and I make enough money and shouldn’t be driving an old “pizza delivery car” like that any more when I’m a doctor or something. The problem is nothing new out there really excited me. New cars might have great 0-60 times but all the models that were within my acceptable price range were boring to look at and/or boring to drive. There are some new cars I would consider (Lotus, Porsche, BMW M series) but I don’t want to spend that much $ on something right now just so I can have an engaging driving experience on my commute. Eventually I settled on a low- mileage 24 year old Z3 and I love it. Cost me less than 10k. It’s still not new enough to satisfy my coworkers’ standards but they are boring people and they don’t know how to drive a manual and infotainment centers are more important to them than an engaging driving experience.

Not only is BMW Z3 an ultimate driving experience, but it is also a like a piece of art that appreciates with the passing of time. Just pull the car over at some nice place and enjoy its beauty. The design by Joji Nagoshima is truly unique. It has already surpassed Z4s in price and this trend will go on. A future classic ala Z1 for sure.

My wife has had her '96 Z3 for around 5 years now. She also has a '98 Z28 and I have '71 TR6. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar the Z3 is the best of the cars we own. We paid $5000 for the Z3 and we are the 3rd owners on it. We put a new top on it and have replaced all the rondells and the antenna, but the mechanicals are still holding up well. I have not been very happy with the fit and finish of the interior; maybe that is due to "made in America". It is an absolute BLAST to drive and we have taken it on several long trips. We replaced the exhaust with an after market to get a few more HP and better sound but that is the only mods we have made to the car. I love driving it but unfortunately I don't get the chance very often as it is my wifes first choice so I have to drive my F-250. We are into the "driving experience" for the pure joy of driving and the Z3 fills the bill like no other. Our Z3 has the "little" 4-banger but since the car is so light, it is not under powered at all and accelerates, handles, and brakes very well. It is all-in-all a very well balanced package. The trunk space is big enough for a week end get away but the space behind the seats is non existent. AC blows cold and all heater/ defroster works great. All told it is a great little package.😎👍

My first Z3 was in 1999 in 2.5 guise and last year I bought a 2001 3.0 in the same color - RED! It’s just real basic motoring fun!
I currently have a 2013 X5M and a 2011 M-B C63 but the Z3 is my default car when I’m alone or just one passenger.

Love my ( Montreal Blue) Z3.. have had for 11 years and all I ever needed to do is change the oil before putting in storage for the winter. 208,000 miles, zero rust & Engines are extremely solid. Had a Porsche Boxster too which I thought was garbage in comparison. It's the closest I've found to my old Tr-6 in smiles without the electrical/ carburetor issues. Pure driving pleasure..

I drive a Z3 2.8 hardtop convertible which is actually rather rare. ( Hardtop version)and I absolutely love it, this car handles like it's on Rails and has plenty of power I never feel like I can't pass other cars without ease. This version of the Z3 that I owned was top-tier at the time therefore it was fully loaded with all kinds of fun little goodies. With this wide-body this car is timeless and sexy. I feel like Mario Kart when I arrive this LOL

There was a removeable hardtop available for the soft top convertible Z3's. The hardtop convertible was available on some of the Z4's, some Miata NC's, and all the SLK (I think). But it's still has "plenty of power," and "timeless and sexy" in 2020!
