The best thing about this is the actors reaction to you. You can imagine how many fake-happy stereotype journalists come in and out of that room in events like these, so it's great to see the actors light up when a chill aussie bloke comes and sits in front of them.
Wearing flip flops as well. No Journalist would ever do that.
And surprises them with some actual good questions in a respectable manner! The actors seem completely genuine and defenseless. Love these eps

Ross Howe I think most people tend to gravitate to more "down to earth" interview formats in general. When you see actors on the stage of a multi million dollar production in a very limiting and structured format it just becomes very distant and hard to relate with. It puts the actors on a pedistal while this right here humanizes them.
It was also great seeing how the actors seemed to be surprised by the high quality of the questions as well.

Big dudes are usually pretty chill, it's the little fuckers you have to watch out for.
The scenes with The Hound and Arya have been the best in the whole show for me, especially the 'fire' scene when he say "He thought I stole one of his toys. I didn't steal it, I was just playing with it" and you get a glimpse of the little boy that he was at the time. A brilliant character brilliantly fleshed out by Rory - and he says 'cunt' a lot, which is always a good thing.
Agreed, Hound is by far the most in depth and fleshed out character. You can feel the hardship he's endured and it almost makes you understand his rage and motivations.
otterspocket2 bump, in prep for season 8. After rewatching the scene when POTENTIAL SPOILER The Hound demonstrates stabbing the heart, then Arya follows against that prick (name?). Top 5 scene of show for me.
I think Tyrion, in general, had the most and the best scenes of the series (at least in my opinion), but The Hound and Arya together were also fantastic.
I'm so bloody proud of you. You really achieved something big: from making RUclips video reviews about GoT to actually meeting and interviewing the Cast of GoT. Fuck yes, mate, fuck yes.

100% agreed on the quality of the interviewing technique, but for me there was one glaring omission. Ozzy Man, how could you have Daniel sat right there in front of you and not ask what Podrick did to those whores?

Fuck I would love to see you interview each cast member. It felt like the actors found you much more approachable and somewhat relaxing to be around. I don't generally like watching interviews because it always feels "same old same old" but this was actually enjoyable to watch. You asked good questions and I would have loved to seen more. Great work mate.

What really makes Ozzy Man's questions work is that he's probing -- not into the actors actual lives, which no one really gives a toss about -- but into their characters' motivations and emotions, which the actors (if they're any bloody good) have thought deeply about and can comment about intelligently. They're comfortable talking about their characters, and they can show their own humanity as well in a safe space (god help me for saying that). Brilliant work.

It must feel refreshing for these actors to have this kind of interview. Most of the time it interviewers are robotic/unnatural and they go from one question to another as fast as possible, just to be done with it. You however give them great questions, make them feel comfortable and tune them to your friendly vibe (at least that's what I think).

I would love to hear your questions to Tyrion, Jaime, Cersei, Dany, Jorah, Sansa, Arya, and Jon. Every one of them has been traumatized in some fashion on the show and their coping mechanisms and will to survive (and/or win the game), adds layers and multi-dimensionality to their characters. Please make it happen! That would be epic!!

You're so good at interviews! I know you've probably heard this from a lot of people in the comment section but I had to say it myself. Not only are you able to connect to the people you're interviewing but you're asking genuinely interesting questions, I usually get bored during interviews but those 10 minutes flew by, good on ya!
