This will sound all hippy dippy I know, but the energy in that basement will leave echoes. Echoes of the laughter, the banter, the frustrations and probably bickering, but most of all, the love. The love of family and friends and also the love of what you guys do. Imagine walking through that basement when it is empty and being at all sensitive to energy. It is a special thing. Love you guys.xx
Sometime forward the entire family may want to get together in the old place to reminisce. It would be nice to have a video of you all together at that point... to share the laughter of the day with the sadness of the past as it moves you all in real time. You have a beautiful history framed in true Americana. It's a delight to share your present enrobed in the sweetness of your past.
Lol Steve cracks me up. You should put up a sign near the production room window that says “Please don’t tap on glass, it scares the candy makers”. Also I swear the jeans and flannel shirts is like a typical dad uniform i think my dad has that exact same outfit. 😹
The Kent Family i agree about dads wearing jeans 👖 & checked shirts...👕 My dad was the same....but living in the damp UK he used to have a thicker shirt than flannel type 😉
Steve, you and Teri look exhausted. Please remember to look after yourselves. The world won't end if it takes a few extra days to settle in. Loving the new place.
In the UK we couldn't even have a radio playing in the kitchen without paying for a special licence. It was counted as entertainment. Medieval laws. It was a small kitchen well away from the public and for personal use only but just was't allowed. Most days we were in that room for 9 hours +. A radio would have been a god send.
Do you think maybe he could get another one for beer brewing? I think it would be a great thing to show at the new place. It'd just be a great part of Hercules history to explain to people just how far you've come.
Well the fact that it's so heavy, they don't want to move it. Plus some of the stuff is historical, and they wanted to get new things anyhow for the new place.
Awe Steve looks so exhausted yet so proud. You guys have taken your grandfather/great grandfather super proud I am sure keeping his dream going and growing! That is a really awesome and I’m sure he is smiling and pointing you guys out to all his peeps and family from wherever we go onto after this part of life. I’m so happy for you guys I’m sure you all must be exhausted but the good kind of exhausted because you are accomplishing not only your dad and moms dream but your grandfather and great grandfathers as well. 💜🐢
Loved the moving videos! My fave part was then end of this be where you talked about Steve's grandfather wanting to expand. You could really see and hear how proud Steve is that your family has been able to accomplish that! Very sweet moment for a sweet family! Wishing you the best in the new year! And wishing you'll restock the milk chocolate covered cherries soon!
The old place is looking sad, but the new place is so bright & spacious! It will be great for all of you to not have to bend down as you move to avoid knocking yourselves out on anything. We are eagerly awaiting the next new video but we totally understand that sometimes you can't get one out when you want, so please do what you need to do first. We will be here waiting for when you can get them to us. Hey, you can do jumping jacks in the new place!! :-)
Steve your grandfather is still with you and sees all you have done..I know he’s so proud of you and your family. It’s has to be bittersweet to you all .So happy for y’all. And , hey Max!!
For as much as I'm so happy Hercules is "coming up" into bigger and better places, there is a bit of sadness (for me) as I viewed this video. I love family history and the initial videos were (and still will be) about simply non pretentious, hard working folks making a living, having fun, and sharing their every day lives. It's what made me tune in regularly. Again, without a doubt, I'm so happy for their good fortune and progress. Living The American Dream is what it's all about! 👍❤❤❤
Head room! I had no idea standing up straight would be so exciting! Hearing about Steve's grandfather was heart warming. Seeing Steve's fish impression HILARIOUS 😂
Omg!! Yay! It makes my day when I get notified that you uploaded a video. I seriously love you guys so much! Not only the candy making part but just your family in general. You guys are amazing people.
This video genuinely made me happy. The very end when Steve talks about him finding the envelopes his grandfather was sending out about expanding the business. Now the family's business is known all over the world. It's so amazing to have seen you guys all grow into this great entity that is the Hercules Candy Co. Crew. 😊
The grandpa story was touching. My grandpa passed away a couple of years ago. He said his biggest joy was his family. He said he never thought he would still be alive to see his grandchildren become great grandparents! We had 6 generations. We’re down to 5 now. 😢
Happy happy! New video from my lovely family! I am a real addict now! Watching everything and telling people to like you page and watch the videos. I am really happy for you guys that you have the new shop now but when Steve said that it was the first time in 40 years that the stove was of... Uffff that hit me right in the heart.... The soul flame has gone from one shop to an other... Like the Olympic flame! Good luck the coming days with all the backlog! ❤ from the Dutch girl living in Spain!
Steve is so excited. Like a kid in a candy store! 🤣😂 Congrats you guys. No one deserves it more! I will visit next summer. I’m in SW Fla, so I’m not traveling north til warm weather sets in.
It's not the arctic you know. It was 82 degrees here in Massachusetts yesterday. It doesn't get really cold here until about mid December. But October and early November is still tolerable. October is my favorite month, it's the most comfortable to me.
SpiritBear12 I realize it isn’t the arctic! 😉 I’m just very sensitive to cold. I have an autoimmune disorder that causes me to be extremely sensitive to changes in temperature so my northward travels will have to wait til spring. In the meantime, I’m extremely excited that I will be able to order vegan chocolates without fear of melting! 😁
I really, really would love a video on the history of Hercules Candy. Just to see how it came to be and how it go to where it is today through the generations.
Hercules Candy I'm relatively new to your channel. I came across you when looking for cake decorating vids to help me relax before bed...but I must admit I have been binge watching your vids. (which can be dangerous for a diabetic! 😀) Could you please send me a link to the history vid too? Can't wait to see the first batches made in the new place!
Wow, how exciting. Can’t wait to see the new store all set up. You don’t realize how much stuff you have until you take them out of their confined areas. Best wishes and sure grandfather is very proud to see the company spreading it’s wings and expanding.
I just want you all to know how very happy I am for your family to have reached this milestone. I have watched on you tube since shortly after Craig began posting the candy videos. So It has been a couple years now. I got a smile watching today as I realized how fast that "big store" is filling up. Especially the candy making room. Not looking so big anymore. :) The very best to you all.
Steve is really going to need a bigger tv . His seems dwarfed in the new room. At this point there just seems like infinite things still to do, a bit mind boggling even from this side of the camera. But setting up the new store is like Christmas!
Those wooden trays are part of your history, the can be put on the walls in the antique area, and pictures hung on some of them. Use some as decorations on the walls!!
Wow! It looks like a hurricane went through the old shop and basement. It looks so weird and small all of a sudden. But the new place. That is really something. The shipping area looks so professional now with everything in place. And don't worry about not filming. I knew for sure you were helping the folks. 😉 Don't keep us in suspense any longer. Post the move of the marble table soon. 😉😂😂 🌊🌊🏊Steve🏊🌊🌊 😂😂😂
Comparing the 2 spaces is unreal‼️You guys should have a weekend dance at the new place. Holy cow....that is a huge amount of space‼️. Yeah for no more stairs but probably more calories burned from the distances walked. Very happy to see you all so excited, and wish you all the best in this new adventure 👍🏻
Same here! I was watching the basement tour and thought, wow, I never knew it was so small. I also had a sniff at the emptiness even though so happy for y’all.
It gives me chuckles when Steve pretends he's in an aquarium. You need a sign by the viewing window. Don't tap the glass. It terrorizes the shy & timid candy elves.
So sad I’m going to miss the old candy kitchen, but on to bigger and better things I guess plus you guys will all get your required doses of natural vitamin c now with all the sunlight shining through the windows.
Wow! Everything is starting to take shape at the new store! It is going to be great once everything is in place. It is sad though, seeing the old shop becoming empty. 😕 I love it when Steve acts like he is in an aquarium. He is so funny! You all are hilarious and that is what makes these videos so great!! Thanks for the updates on the move!
Congratulations Steve and Terry for running your business so successfully out of your wee house ... proud of you guys for expanding and I wish you even bigger success in the new premises ... Craig and Max and Kara you and the staff are awesome back up and Craig your modern approach on RUclips is a winner 👍🌸💕
Even though moving is making work much easier to do, it must be emotional leaving a place you have been at for soo many years. I'm glad to see a success story of a family business such as yours.
Wow!!! Your family has done so much work on this move. I had businesses and it was so much more work than people understand. Steve and Terry are so happy. It is easy to see on their faces. Your grandfather would e very proud of you. Take care and God bless.
The end of an era. The start of a brand new life! This has been amazing to watch from the first video of Steve and Teri making ribbon candy to the new shop. Thank you for bringing us along and into your family. Let's shoot for another 100 years!
You should make a Hercules candy video for the display room. History of it and video compilations of the RUclips videos and just have it on replay. Get on it Craig! I’m exhausted just watching because I know how much work it is to move a house let alone a business. And they have to keep the business going at the same time. God bless and good luck with everything guys! Sending love from Chicago ❤️
OH MY GOODNESS...:-))..THANKS SO MUCH for all you have done with the RUclips channel and helping with your family business...and you were CORRECT I was hoping you would show the old starh room..! All the space in the building your Dad can swim LOVE IT
All those white wall... I'd love to come over and paint some fantasy, lollipops, candy canes, bright trim... a bright yellow ceiling and lots of whimsical shelves and displays. Make it a fun place to be... make people go home and tell their friends.... "You have to SEE this place".... have fun.
Awww ,it's sad but exciting at the same time. The new place looks great. Can't wait to go see it. Congratulations!!!! Mom and Pops looks tired. Well worth it though.
The place is looking awesome. Of course, your shipping area isn't fully set up yet, but at our shipping dept (motorcycle parts), we keep the peanut pack in a huge pillow case like thing above the counter. Then it has a little chute that you open and the peanuts come out. Also, we have a tape machine that spits out sheets of tape to seal boxes. The tape has glue on it and the machine gets it wet. Really fast and nicer than a regular tape dispenser.
Steve makes me laugh when he acts like a fish. I'm waiting for the day you video the window and Steve put the plants for an aquarium by the window or cut out paper to make it look like there's coral or seaweed on the bottom of the window. So when you look though the window it will look like Steve as the fish is swimming in the ocean lol
Love the new place! You guys should paint the upper portion of the walls a different color, like from the tops of the doors up. It would help the area feel more "full".
It's amazing how much you fit in the basement and surprising how the new place is filling up. I thought it would look emptier lol. I can't wait to see it all finished. It is a lot of fun watching the process! I wish you all well. I will have to order something special for myself to celebrate!! :D
Wow! That was quite a workout and more to go. New place looks great with so much space. I hope you get a minute to relax as we all know "this is the calm before the storm"😊. I will be up in Syracuse when the leaves change, beautiful ride. Wishing you health and happiness with your new store. Love the videos😁
I love your videos so much, of all the things that one can see on YT, I love this so much and have for so long, thank you for sharing your lives and business with us.
There are RUclips channels that stream 24/7 so streaming video from the candy production area wouldn't be a problem. In fact, you could set up a system of fixed cameras and mics all throughout the store so you can stream video from the production area, or stream from the shipping room, or stream from the packaging area at the front of the store. You would have a video control panel for selecting which cameras would be used and for commentary employees could wear lav mics. It would cost a bit to set up but you'd be able to produce high quality videos and live streams from the store.
I love those baking trays and rack! SO useful. Yay football! I always wondered what was in "Ethel & Lucy". I got the reference but wondered. Now I know! New place looks Great already.
Hello from Colorado 🏔 I can’t wait to see everything all set up and candy getting made again. I’ve been watching your videos a couple days now and I’m hooked😉lol love your videos can’t wait to see more!!!!!! But for now I’ll just continue to watch all the other videos 🤗
You guys can definitely run RUclips videos on a TV. Here are some ways to do that: • HMDI or VGA cable 1. Connect a laptop or desktop computer to the TV using an HDMI or VGA cable, depending on what port your TV has (most laptops/desktops have an HDMI and/or VGA port but you can always get a USB to HDMI or VGA adapter or whatever your laptop/desktop needs so you can use an HDMI or VGA cable with the laptop/desktop). 2. Check your laptop/desktop's projection settings or whatever (some laptops/desktops have special settings for HDMI and VGA cables so the laptop/desktop screen will show up on a TV or other external monitor). 3. Create a playlist of all your RUclips videos, or the ones you want to show customers, on RUclips. 4. Open your web browser on your laptop/desktop and navigate to your RUclips playlist. 5. Click "Play all" or click the shuffle button to start playing the playlist. 6. Click the Full screen button on the video player to make the videos play in full screen mode. 7. On the right side of the video player, where it lists the videos in the playlist, there is a button called Loop playlist which you can use to keep the playlist going on repeat without having to manually restart it every time all the videos have played. • Apple TV 1. Connect the Apple TV box to your TV. 2. Use a computer to create a playlist, on RUclips, of all of your videos or the ones you want customers to see. 3. Open the RUclips app on the Apple TV box. 4. Log in to your RUclips account. 5. Navigate to your playlist. 6. Select either the Play or Shuffle buttons to start playing the playlist. 7. I think the RUclips app on Apple TV also has a Loop playlist feature so you can select that to continuously loop your playlist. • Amazon Fire TV, Roku, etc... *There are other things, besides Apple TV, that have RUclips built-in, like Amazon Fire TV, Roku, etc... *Follow the same steps as with an Apple TV box.
There needs to be a little plaque underneath the window that Steve keeps making fish faces at. Similar to what they have at aquariums or zoos. "Wild American Quick Steve - Latin Name: Beericus BrewerDadus - (insert funny text here)" followed by PLEASE DO NOT TAP ON GLASS!
Shoot, if you don't need those wooden trays (in the basement) for candy, turn them upside down and mount those on the wall for shelves. Buy you some cheap L brackets and boom you got more shelves!
Might put a coffee table out at the new place: pump dispensers with cups, lids, sugar, and creams so that would slow down browsing of folks. Maybe even a couple of little tables and chairs too.
Finally placing an order today. I'd love to stop by the store in person but being from Texas it'll be a while till we make it up there. Hate to place it now since the all the moving is taking place but I MUST HAVE ME CANDIES!!!! 😂😂😂
I would seriously rent out an apartment downstairs from such cool people. Bonus points if it always smelled like chocolate. The old store would be a perfect apartment and a source of income.
It took 100 years to get everything you had and needed at the old place. Be patient getting everything put together here. Of course we (customers) expletive our candy order to get to us efficiently!!! Place looks great.
Its crazy to think that that shop has been in your basement for so many years, even during the great depression and you just moved into a very nice big place. good luck with your guys shop. i wish you the best. (also i just placed an order for some ribbon candy haha )
Seeing the old Candy shop with the candies and all gone and the basement where u all made the candies is kinda sad to see lol. If I was living close by I would have love to volunteer and help u all out with the moving and all. Even with the cleaning😊I can't wait to see the new place when ur all done. I was getting excited watching this video 😄
Hey guys! Hope all is going great! Idea: How about some white chocolate covered chocolate peppermint truffles sprinkled with crushed candy canes? Yummy! Don't know if you've done that in the past, but would love to see them online to order for Christmas! ;D
Looking good! It's crazy how fast that big space is filling up! I was thinking the same as Cara was with tv size haha. That tv looks so small on that big wall compared to the compact area its been in.
I think for halloween, Steve and Max need to dress like fish while they make the candy! Congrats on the new place guys! It looks great! My husband and I hope to make it there some day! Oh! And i was thinking, that grease trap that you had to get could actually come in handy one day if Karen ever gets a litte too carried away when she's "chokin' somebody!" Hahaha! HIDE THE EVIDENCE!!!!! 👍😄🍬
Steve deserves a bigger tv We just bought the Amazon TV 55” for 400.00 It has everything installed Netflix Hulu amazon prime. Smart TV! Incredible picture & sound. Steve needs this
Am sure your great grandfather would be really happy. Seeing that his family accomplished a thing he wished for.
Was thinking the same . LOVE
It makes us happy to finally accomplish what he set out to accomplish all those years ago
Lol Steve cracks me up. You should put up a sign near the production room window that says “Please don’t tap on glass, it scares the candy makers”. Also I swear the jeans and flannel shirts is like a typical dad uniform i think my dad has that exact same outfit. 😹
Lol I had the same thought about the sign - except as a zoo identification plaque describing a "Wild American Quick Steve" with the Do not tap!
My Dad ALWAYS was seen in jeans, flannel shirt, and later years suspenders.
My late pop swore by flanelette shirts. He said they kept him warm in winter and cool in summer.
The Kent Family i agree about dads wearing jeans 👖 & checked shirts...👕 My dad was the same....but living in the damp UK he used to have a thicker shirt than flannel type 😉
Omg! I spit my soda out when I saw your dad “swimming” in the widow!!! 😆 that was priceless!!!
Angie Ann I was trying hard to keep a straight face too 😂
Steve, you and Teri look exhausted. Please remember to look after yourselves. The world won't end if it takes a few extra days to settle in. Loving the new place.

So the grandfather made candy in the same basement? He's smiling down from heaven.
The story about your great grandfather made me emotional. He would be proud I am sure.
So no old stove at new place? So sad!
mommy2kdk he’s gotta brew beer somehow!
Do you think maybe he could get another one for beer brewing? I think it would be a great thing to show at the new place. It'd just be a great part of Hercules history to explain to people just how far you've come.

I really, really would love a video on the history of Hercules Candy. Just to see how it came to be and how it go to where it is today through the generations.

Then it has a little chute that you open and the peanuts come out. Also, we have a tape machine that spits out sheets of tape to seal boxes. The tape has glue on it and the machine gets it wet. Really fast and nicer than a regular tape dispenser.
The video thing your dad said about the customers watching you guys and having your videos plays is such a good idea!
Lol, I'm visualizing that! So funny 😁
this video is gonna be 2 years in a few weeks! you've come a long way, im so proud of you guys and your business. i hope the business keeps growing ❤
It's moments like the one at 5:30 that make me always want to come back to this channel!! Im hoping to be ordering from you all soon!!
You all are so precious...god bless you all for the wonderful gifts and talents you all have for making people happy!
It’s getting there, but so much still left to move. Love the new place, so much more can fit....I know everyone loves the high ceilings.
Oh and Steve doing the "swim" behind the window, aka fish tank, was hilarious!
Congratulations on the new store! It's quite emotional watching the old place empty out.
Yes put the tv showing your channel! I have loved watching your videos!!! I am very excited for your family.
Is it just me or does Steve look really good in that shirt? He looks nice in that color.
DT Hurley Mom says back off! He’s mine! 😂 jk
Yes he’s yours Terry but I think that’s the first, and possibly the last time we see him in a button up shirt. Certainly a nice change👍🏻
He looks smart, like he's going to the bank, to ask for a loan. This is a shirt and tie for Mr Cool.
That lumberjack look does work for him.
Yes Steve's adorable
I'm happy for you guys, I have been watching since the first peanut butter ribbon candy video. It is nice to see you guys moving to a better location.
I'm so happy for you guys! I'm so glad to see your dad fulfill his grandpas dreams.
I got to stop by the new store yesterday. It´s fantastic. (Coming away with some cashew bark didn´t hurt either!)
I can’t imagine how you feel about moving and the empty space, but it brought a tear to my eye.
Congratulations! Wishing your beautiful family nothing but great success and happiness.
Hello from Colorado 🏔
I can’t wait to see everything all set up and candy getting made again. I’ve been watching your videos a couple days now and I’m hooked😉lol love your videos can’t wait to see more!!!!!! But for now I’ll just continue to watch all the other videos 🤗
So happy for you guys! Such a great family deserves the best.
Oh man, just watched the video to it's completion and that seems like an overwhelming amount of stuff to move but don't give up!
I think everything looks sooo BEAUTIFUL!
You get your house back now too!
So excited for you guys!!!! This is a nice step and it’s cool that you’ve shown us the change.
I'm sure Grand Pa can see it. He up in heaven looking down smiling so happy to see you fulfill his dream and you're. 👼🏻
This looks Herculean! And I just love Steve. He needs his own channel.
You guys can definitely run RUclips videos on a TV. Here are some ways to do that:
• HMDI or VGA cable
• Apple TV
That is so sad in a way seeing the old shop empty but on the flip its great to see the new store start
"A Fish Called Steve" LOL. Love watching the new shop come to life.
I am really impressed with the new place and how far you have come in such a short time!
Congratulations on your new place, and best wishes for the future of your company! If I am ever in that area I will stop on in!
Might put a coffee table out at the new place: pump dispensers with cups, lids, sugar, and creams so that would slow down browsing of folks. Maybe even a couple of little tables and chairs too.
We moved our kitchen from a smaller place to a bigger one a year ago, all the while while having to work, I totally sympathize!
You may find it easier to use those pans on the rack upside down when taking chocolates off the enrober.
Way to go guys! Can wait to see tomorrow's new vid! Very exciting
He's watching over you. I'm sure he'll be overwhelmed that your moving and expanding Hercules Candy.
So much work done and so much still to do, you guys will be mighty weary, best wishes ;-)
It took 100 years to get everything you had and needed at the old place. Be patient getting everything put together here. Of course we (customers) expletive our candy order to get to us efficiently!!! Place looks great.
So WONDERFUL and sad, at the same time.
Its crazy to think that that shop has been in your basement for so many years, even during the great depression and you just moved into a very nice big place. good luck with your guys shop. i wish you the best. (also i just placed an order for some ribbon candy haha
)
Yummy! Don't know if you've done that in the past, but would love to see them online to order for Christmas! ;D
Looks beautiful! An outstanding establishment of confection!
Looking good! It's crazy how fast that big space is filling up! I was thinking the same as Cara was with tv size haha. That tv looks so small on that big wall compared to the compact area its been in.
can't wait to see the first new operation candy making video at your new location.. you all rock :)
No more tapping on the pipe , to get Terry downstairs. Congratulations !
Y’all should make chocolate covered cinnamon bears for the holidays!! They are sooo good!!
So excited! Love seeing it all slowly transformed!
Steve deserves a bigger tv
We just bought the Amazon TV 55” for 400.00
It has everything installed Netflix Hulu amazon prime.
Smart TV! Incredible picture & sound.
Steve needs this
