fact. rb's 1000% sound better than 2j's. and from my experience, more reliable lmao. i had my rb25 r32 for about a year not 1 issue, beat on it daily, even in winter. all my 2j friends STAYED with issues, and shit breaking. and their cars werent even daily'ed.
It sounds like you hit the nail on the head within your own comment. Anything with a 2JZ needs to be driven. They don't like to sit. I've had my Supra at 700whp on 1.6 bar of boost for 6 years never had a single issue, where has my BNR34 had constant reliability issues, coilpacks, oil leaks etc. Funny how when I go to road course sessions its always GT-Rs that never finish out the day where as my A80 never missed a beat minus the brakes being bbq'd from constant stops at nearly 304kph. My first BNR32 had catastrophic engine failure due to the shitty oil pump design, my second BNR32 went due to the oil starvation issue with the poorly designed oil pan. RBs are no where near even close to being as reliable as a 2JZ especially on OEM components. You need a N1 block just to safely put down over 600whp. The response of a single on a 26 is complete garbage even with a smaller 66mm. Its been proven on multiple occasions that a 2JZ is more durable. I can tell you from owning both cars and a career having to deal with both of these platforms on a daily basis the RB isn't even in the same league. No temperamental issues, no constant monitering of weak OEM components for the 2JZ. The G in GT-R should stand for glass 🤣Sounding better is irrelevant as that is purely opinion based so its actually not fact. I dont thinking using your friends as an example can also translate over to you having ownership experience as well. Because if thats the case let me bask in the ownership experience of an F12, LP720-4, and an F40 since a collector friend of mine owns them.

Get a non GT-R variant and call it a day. The GT-R trim is only a performance trim on an economic car. Everything is interchangeable. Especially a ENR34. They come from the factory with ATESSA ETS.
@@KeenanStyles thanks for the advice but in my country there are strict laws for car modification not impossible to skip though. The big problem comes on taxing. Here in Greece, if you own a car over 2.0 liters displacement you are considered rich and you pay 4 times the tax of a 1.9 liter or less for the cars produced before 2010. This is a very old law, before 1950 that I hope that will be changed soon so I can buy my dream cars...
