Thank you all for checking out this video! I want to give a quick shout out to @justaweebwithsubjectivetas9019 for their comment several videos ago that convinced me to finish up this video concept 😊 Thank you!
Ironically as I've gotten older, I find myself being more drawn to the characters themselves rather than the crayon spandex and giant mech fights (I still love them of course). But it's such a weird contrast compared to when I was a kid. Seeing the different aesthetics of Sentai heroes just in their civilian outfits makes me appreciate their characters a lot more.
@@dylansharp8471 no, there are the coloured suits (henshin/morphed), casual clothes, and uniform (traditional Japanese hakama - search and you'll see what I mean).
J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai is my favorite sentai series of all time, and the team's regular outfits are definitely one of the show's highlights. The regular outfits of original 4 rangers all pretty simple and normal for the 70s (an amazing era for fashion as a whole imo), but distinct enough to clearly convey their personalities, and Sokichi Banba's white suit in particular is one of my favorite sentai civilian outfits of all time, both because of how awesome it looks on its own, and how it contrasts with the other rangers on the team.
Thank you posting this! I love the fashion in Super Sentai! I definitely feel like they put more thought into it than Power Rangers typically does, but I could be wrong on that. At the very least, Power Rangers missed an opportunity by not selling any official civilian outfits or uniforms from the shows. I own the adult size Bouken Red jacket (official), and I even bought the DX Accellular and the carrying pouch to go with it; each sold separately. What I love about the jacket is that I can wear it in public without looking like a cosplayer. Most people won't even recognize what I'm wearing, but if someone does, then that means they're a tokusatsu fan and we'll probably become friends over our shared fandom. However if I was going to get any more official pieces of clothing... I'd want to get Takeru's/Shinken Red's (sleeveless?) jacket; or maybe Yamato's/Zyuoh Eagle's military style jacket. Either one of those are very stylish and practical. ... Yes, I stan the reds. It's my favorite color. 😎
Definitely do a kamen rider version. I love character design and untransformed heroes having iconic clothing is so underrated. I love the Kiramager and Magiranger outfits
Dude, THANK YOU for pointing that out. Bringing out the Fashion Whore in me. Yeah, I don’t work in GQ magazine but because of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. I developed and understood Fashion. During my Teen Years… I was attempting to put together Looks from Maskman, Liveman, Turborangers, Dairangers and Kakuranger . Of course the guys! Characters like Red Mask, Black Mask, Red Falcon, Yellow Lion, Black Bison,Red Turbo, Black Turbo, Blue Turbo, Yellow Turbo, Shishiranger , Kirinranger, Tenmaranger, Ninja Blue, Ninja Yellow and Ninja Black where all inspired via fashion in Highschool. And I still love and make an outfit that is inspired! Changeman was the first to use everyday uniforms and did Ohranger. GoGo V would be the first to do the jackets!!!
Great vid. Got a new sub and hope you do the Rider version. In college I started watching Kamen Rider with W and OOO being the two that came out those years. Shotaro and Sokichi, inspiring me to buy and wear fedora/trilby style hats. Sadly after finally feel good about my sense of fashion someone used an image of me to mock that style and it crushed me. I haven't worn those hats or gone to the hell site reddit for over 10 years. But that said Marvelous fashion is one of the many reasons he is the coolest Sentai for me. But I always get a big smile when I see Ninninger's epic Cowboy and I normally dislike cowboys. The Lupin Rangers have uniforms that are just great when out doing their thieving.
Thank you so much! I’ll be honest I had the same experience with W and wanting to adopt Shotaro’s style and getting made fun of for it 🥲 but hey we do what we want and if it makes us happy, then who’s to say otherwise? ☺️
As the 69th Like I do find civilian certain outfits to be my favorite Like Big One's My favorite team outfits are Kyoryuger Lupinranger Gingaman And Zyuranger
On thing that was kind of touched upon was that fact that it's based in Japan where there sense and idea of fashion in different from here in the west, where in the west they always tried to keep thing casual, one team that did that, casual but badass at the same time was RPM with they're discreet but distinguishing leather jackets
The styles in Sentao that I really are Shinkenger, Gokaiger, Go buster and King-ohger. Edit: Oh actually Fashion style I thought you meant the style the Sentai is going for. But I still really like the 4 I mentioned
I really love when they actually try to make an outfit based on real current style like Kyoryuger and Boonbomger where you can go to your closet or nearby store and by similar outfit. Like they actually care about style. I dislike uniforms as most if it feels cosplay-ish as cool as they are. I hate Dekaranger uniform though, the star makes it looks so ugly

I WAS JUST WATCHING DINO THUNDER AND TOMMY SAID HE HAD TO GO SHOPPING FOR A NEW WARDROBE CAUSE HE DOESNT HAVE ANY BLACK! 😂
Disney didn’t allow JDF to wear short sleeves during Dino Thunder because he had tattoos.

I think it pretty much happens with any children's content
Quick note: Shinkenger has casual wear, a uniform wear, and a henshin wear
Weren't they're uniform and Henshin wear the same?

One piece of credit I will give to Go-Onger is that I think they have some of the coolest looking team jackets in the franchise.
10:34 yeah Dino Fury cast had some drip! Javi with the leather jackets and Zayto and Aiyon had some drippy fits in a few episodes too!

I find riders have exactly style in civilian form I would actually want to see a video with that.

We need a rider version, NOW
Ghost has drip with those jackets, Wizard too.
Thanks for this eye-opening video

My favourite rider civilian outfit is the desire grand prix outfit from Kamen rider geats which was used throughout the series
Gokaiger had a cool civilian outfits
Cool vid
The Dekaranger/ SPD outfits did it for me.

KingZoru I like how your logo looks like the kingohger logo
Fascinating indeed, I never knew!
I finally got Marvelous' official red jacket after 12 years!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I would love to see your take on Fashion in Kamen Rider, personally the fashion of the Showa era of rider kinda influence my outfits.
King-Ohger had the best out of Suit costume and hair designs

Time for another King Zoru Video less gooo!! Btw do you have your own discord server? I know you're on Kezza's discord but yeah
I don’t currently- I’m not sure if I will make one, but if I do I’ll be sure to announce it ☺️

When many Sentai teams have uniforms but it's like they don't wash them
The Wild Force Rangers didn't get to keep their jackets when their season ended. And that's a shame.
Gokaiger the jacket sentai
However Power Rangers 1993 was the only FIRST Super Sentai to NOT stay in JAPAN only.
Flashman and Liveman was transmitted in Latin America with Spanish translation, before power rangers. so you are wrong.
Yes the drip off we all didn’t know we needed
Can I get a pin?
