Love your art. I do the odd watercolour and I can never paint trees, but I've gotten better at them. Water is my nemesis.
Thanks. Watercolour is very hard so no surprise its a struggle. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody! Water used to be my nemesis also, 100 attempts later, not so bad now :D
If I find something difficult to paint I will just keep trying constantly until I understand what I am doing wrong. Rocks, trees etc. Painted hundreds of them.
I discovered your channel last night and since then I couldn't stop myself from watching your videos. You have such a great art style. I just love your work
Wow, thank you!
@@DigitalPaintingWithMark Any advice or resources from which I could learn to paint in such beautiful and bold colours and shapes (apart from your videos which are really helpful btw)
@@HuzaifaMumtaz-l9q That is a good question. I learnt in a realistic style, using acrylics, not even digital but the concepts are the same. Most people teach realistic, because once you can do that, you can paint in whichever way you like. It worked for me, but as far people teaching how I paint.. there are none I know of. I understand you are after the minute details, I wanted the same.
So, look for online art schools. There are lots of great ones out there, its mostly about how much effort you put in rather than the school itself. I joined one for a year or two, again, acrylics and realistic. but it helped me massively. I dont want to recommend any because it is a very personal thing. But, i do recommend them in general. I joined a few and ended up with one i liked.
I know you wanted some recommendations but I dont think you want to swap to acrylics at this point, probably not a great idea. There is some good stuff on Udemy if you can get a sale on.
Beautiful work. Did you always do digital art, or did you start out by paper? Also, do you recommend digital art as a starting point? I really do admire your work. Please do a video on your favorite brushes and templates to use, and why
Thanks 😊 - I started out traditionally with pencils. Then moved to digital when it became a thing. I have been doing it on and off for many years. Several years ago I decided to try and learn how to paint landscapes in acrylics. I did that for a number of years solely with acrylics, that was a great learning experience. Then... I got back in to digital again and tried to apply what I learnt in acrylics in digital form.
So i am 99% digital now but I do like to get the paints out now and again. As for fave brushes etc, I am mostly not using any at the moment but if/when I do I will post a video on what I use and why.
Can u tell which brushes do you u?
For this type of style I don’t use any brushes. Just the colour fill on the selection tool.
You can't tell he doesn't use brushes?
