The formula rollup to show incomplete tasks has saved me hours of pain. Thank you!

You're the best. This was great, thank you. Hopefully they make it easier for non-developers to work with this, but this will work for me.

using the formula you have at timestamp 19:02, I am trying to view a date of the last meeting I had with a client. however, if I have the next meeting booked in, when it gets to that day (today) my database shows today's meeting as the last meeting rather than the previous meeting, making it impossible to see how long ago I last met with the client. how do I make it only show meeting up until yesterday?

So that formula should only show you today's meeting if it's after the time when it's scheduled to start. But if you don't want to see today's meetings at all then you could use dateSubtract to subtract 1 day from the now() that's included in the formula. I hope that helps!

Thanks for a great video. It's eye-opening to the power of formula 2.0! I do have a question about using formula to filter items based on a partial information. For example, let's say I have a list of roles related to a list of tasks. Some of the tasks start with "Plan the" but the full task could be "Plan the next meeting". Have you already filtered / selected items on part of the text? I've tried contains() but I'm probably not using this correctly as I can only get true/false info.

Brilliant video, thank you! I have configured labels now and have been able to delete numerous superfluous label and roll-up properties - brilliant. However, I have to activate the "wrap all properties" functionality in gallery view in order to force the "
" linebreaks in the label to show...

So glad you found it useful and was able to tidy up your databases! Thanks for the heads up about Wrap All Properties, looks like I must have forgotten switching that setting on for the view - it looks like it is always required in order for line breaks to be displayed.

Is there a way to hide weekends on the timeline using formulas?

You can't use formulas to customise the layout of database views like the timeline unfortunately.

      You're welcome! I use Raycast's emoji picker for that, it's much faster than Apple's - www.raycast.com

As a daily user, I avoid notion's formulas by all means. Most of the ones I copied have been replaced by features they eventually implemented anyway. When I started using coda & learning that formula system, the thought of using notion's formulas was horrific. They should revamp the entire system.
