I got my DMC-TZ3 back in 2008 and four and a half years on it's still going strong. Only down side with this camera is that the battery is not exactly reliable. Tends to go weak real quick despite having displayed a full battery when you first fire it up. I have ordered a new battery since and waiting on that to arrive.
The battery plastic sliding latch has broken recently leading to some hack jobs (stick taping foam) to hold the battery into place.
Still a great camera though!

i think that is very handly and it has a lot of functions, remember 10x optical zoom.. so considering that it is a very good camera

How do you get to the "Play" menu? The operating instructions do not include how to do that? Please help. Trying to format and/or erase chip. Thanks

No zoom when video recording. There is a speaker for play back but it is tinny.

a person watched on the computer video from my panasonic DMC-TZ5 digitalcamera and sound tinny while zoom in / out recording,,,
because the gearbox motor is a so small motor inside the len zoom,,,
it can add audio sound music or programer from the computer to the camera and cannot hear the tinny,,,

if you only found the camera you´ll need the usb data cable, and the charger of the battery..

Tinny = Weak sound lacking any bass of any kind. A kind of tiny rattling sound.
