I have a friend thinks the new armor is mid af, but it's really not if you pair it with the right skills. From what I've seen, Dereliction is the de facto best pairing for straight up raw, & that's before you even use Dragonheart. While Dragonheart forces you to use a dragon weapon, the elemental resistance you get from it 100% synergizes with Dragon Conversion, giving you stupid numbers.
Dragon convergence is gonna be meta for elemental builds :) I’m not saying for all the weapons. but, right now, my dragon convergence with max resistance to all elements, cb saed is hitting for 1200 per phial, and I haven’t fully augmented everything 😅 it’s like world alatreon armor but with better rates
This might be a bit too late to share but I noticed this while you were wyvern riding and figured it might help. Did you know the recharge for wire bugs starts way faster after a dodge? So the strat is to attack, dodge cancel into another attack, dodge but wait about half a second to begin the wire bug cool down, and once it starts begin attacking again.
Man that was a juicy hunt. Yeah i absolutely love the difficulty upgrade on a difficult monster. If TU5 is the last update for rise, and if they truly are adding Amatsu. It will definitely be on par with the risen crimson if not more as its one of those big finale kind of monsters
The flaming espinas longsword works well against him, you'll get both flame and poison on damage on him. Got a time of 18:00 min and some change with that combo 👍

Mhw locale is a bit small...even at rise its look funny that valstrax can speed jet anywhere only make a fart distance to get away...older titles like mhgu where map is humongous and behind loading make valstrax look slightly believable
Definitely loving the frostcraft, augmented it and by sheer luck, I got wind mantle with level 3 Mail of hell and a bloodlust. Went raw dmg since I’m one build for all type. But man the output with frostcraft, wind mantle and focus makes you combo non stop with big numbers lmao “beyblade” into sacred sheathe all fight.
Also i honestly like that they are making elemental builds great again. World/iceborne was raw damage for me or dragon element, gu was ailments and before that it was usually ailments aswell or raw. I prefer to use some weapon types now way more than before(dual blades, Hammer, Switch Axe etc) because more viable builds combined with these newer faster moves these games give us compared to olds.
Salute to Capcom for making Risen Valstrax such a relentless monster. Puts all your skills to the test. First defeat 14:40 I believe. Should’ve been less, but it killed me the first time I got it to blue skull 🥲
I really hate that capcom has a concept of adding explosion at the end of every attack=hard fight. It's really annoying to counter and ruins the flow of combat
I tried this fight before hr 100 then learned why I was getting oneshotted by every move and sounds like I need defensive armour or tons of buffs or something I tried it on Xbox rise btw the event quest
I know this is probably the most challenging fight in rise right now, but it still really doesn’t have anything on fatalis. Not even close. Fatalis took me multiple days to even kill once

You know after thinking about it, Shara Ishvalda was extremely similar to Valstrax. Kinda makes me wonder why they didn't put Valstrax in MHW

from memory it took me around 15mins maybe a little more on my first try but then my best time was around 12mins

I got Peppo's TU3 build using Teostra LS and i killed it in less than 15 min, its just i need to be carted 12 times before successfully doing it lmao

Anomaly special research level valstrax has more HP 150,000 than fatalis and takes out much more life in a single hit
@@Darklucifer09519 the hunter is OP in rise though. You can counter pretty much anything that valstrax can do with Lance except for a few attacks.
