You did a common but dangerous mistake. As you exited the pit lane you crossed over the track to be on the inside of the turn.
Makes sense. But you might be crossing in front of very high speed riders.
Had someone do that to me at Thundehill.

Yes, not allowed, however I was the 3rd rider out in that session, they were just in front of me.

Always assume the track is hot.
