I know nothing about Justin so you may be right. I meant respect as someone trump didn’t feel the need to try to punk on another handshake again because he respected his handshake defense 😂.

That's just plain rude to yank someone's arm like that when you shake hands; and patting the top of their hand is patronizing and thus also rude. Handshake analysis is something world leaders absolutely pay attention to- a handshake and positioning can show strength or weakness in photos- it matters.
Scott Simpson the handshake is Donald Trump's way of intimidating the receiver and to tell them that he's in charge. but trudeau countered that and after it, trump looks embarrassed and pissed off.

The yank is pulling someone into your personal space. Normally (before COVID) the distance between us and the person we converse with typically illustrates our level of intimacy, or how comfortable we are with one another.
Tugging someone towards you during a handshake signals that you trust them to stand closer to you. Of course, that person doesn't have to step closer to you, but what's important is that you offered. "Feel free to come closer. I trust you."
I'm not in business or anything, but I greet family, friends, and introduce myself to new people with a handshake (most of the time, unless it feels inappropriate). A simple firm shake is WAY different in energy to come closer and placing your other hand on their shoulder (something I'd do to a close friend or close family member). Very often does it set the tone for the rest of your interaction.
