    I watch you every week but rarely comment. You have inspired me to stitch a new design on 25 count one over one. The pattern is "324" by Works by ABC that was released at market and I fell in love with. I had thought that stitching one over one on 25 count would be too hard but I am really enjoying it. Thank you!

      That's great! I'm glad you're enjoying the 25 count. That is definitely a nice choice for trying over 1 stitching for the first time. Some people just stick with that one for every over 1 project because it's so nice. :)

    Always love to see all your projects!! For your full coverage He Has Risen, you could always find a fun fabric to represent the sky and just stitch, the cross the flowers and the words that way it may be done in your lifetime!! 😂 I could never do full coverage, but I love seeing all the projects!

    Could you use sewing thread for your backstitching on your dragon? A 40 or 50 weight cotton sewing thread would make the stitches less crowded because it is thinner.
    I kitted up He is Risen for a Good Friday start when I saw your last Flosstube. Thank you.

    Hi Sarah! I hope you’re feeling better soon. Everything you show is so pretty. It’s always fun to see progress on each of them. We haven’t seen the sailing ship or Yosemite patterns in a while. Will they be in your rotation this year? Have a joyous Easter with your family.

      I double checked my WIPGO board, and I didn't include either of those this year. I chose my top 24 full coverage projects (including full coverage no background), and they didn't make the cut. I'm tossing around ideas for next year that might include a single WIPGO board with my favorite 24 projects of all types which will each get a larger rotation, then I can just bring out everything else for 1 day here and there, so everything gets at least a little attention. I don't like neglecting pieces for an entire year.

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  5 месяцев назад +1

      That would probably be the safest route, true! This piece is a bit of a struggle, since the fabric is kind of squishy as a hand-dyed. I'm afraid it'll take me an eternity to stitch the whole cat's head, and those wings are so pretty! We'll see how close I am to the start of the wing's edge when I get into it tomorrow. Reason will take over when I see what I'm actually working with. :)

    • @FrostyXStitch
      @FrostyXStitch 5 месяцев назад

      I somehow have the feeling you will chose the color of the outside most fur parts of the cats head and stitch his/her "halo", so that you can get to the wings faster. 😂

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@FrostyXStitch A little from column A and a little from column B! I was good and continued picking colors in the 10x10 row I was on, which I managed to finish. But, the tip of one wing is in the next 10x10 row, so I did allow myself to stitch a couple colors down the edge of the cat’s head so that I can see where the wing starts. Next time I pull this out I’ll be able to stitch along the edge of the wing so that I can include the top edge symbols in that next row I’m stitching. 😁🐱🦋🪡

    Hey Sarah, wanted to know if temperature turtles is pattern keeper compatible? I’m having a hard time getting it to load.
    Great floss tube. Love all your projects. I like your idea about He is Risen with half stitches and full cross.

  • @arianaodom6601
    @arianaodom6601 5 месяцев назад

    I do love the idea for He is Risen. I have a question though, would you make your half crosses go the same direction as full cross? By that I mean they all end up slanting either to the left or to the right depending on how you choose to start your squares. Or would the half cross slant the opposite direction of your full crosses?

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  5 месяцев назад +1

      I have debated this as well, but I think I will continue to stitch my half crosses and full crosses the way I normally stitch them, which means they will end up with their top legs going in opposite directions. I usually stitch my half stitches as the first leg of my X and just don't cross it. I think if I tried to switch that, I'd just confuse myself! And when I am stitching a Dimensions kit or Russian pattern, etc., where they call for both full and half stitches, they end up going different directions and I think it's fine. The point is for the result to be slightly different in those cases, so I've always thought it was okay to not fuss about switching how I stitch. In this case, the main goal is to just speed up the background by using half stitches, so it doesn't need to look different, but I think it's okay if it does - that might make the foreground stand out more, which I wouldn't mind.

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  4 месяца назад

      Some designs I feel like they will have a nicer result if done in a full cross. If there is a "drawn" or illustrated look, full crosses can help the lines around the items to look correct.
