Fun police officer here. It's my responsibility to inform you that you have violated the Fallout 76 building "rules". When Todd Howard said that "it just works" he didn't mean like that. This is your first warning. Any future violations of the "rules" will be passively aggressively grumbled about online.
Alternatively if you want to get rid of those awkward stairs and you can’t delete them normally. Snap an upper floor, then regular standalone stairs to it so it snaps to another foundation and the support will transfer over to the other stairs. That will avoid the whole deleting walls problem
That is a nice building spot, I never even thought to put something there. Please keep just being you, maybe talking slower will help some non native speakers, but don't ever give up on the random train of thought speaking, that is classic!
I thought I was a GENIOUS when I figured out how to finally place a wall the game refused to let me place. The frustration I felt for one wall is what this whole build must of been but it turned out so amazing and you are hilarious! It reminds me of when my boyfriend starting building his first base and asked why he couldnt place a staircase. After looking for a second, I directed him to pick up a wall directly across the base and try again. (Stairs snapped into place) His silent look of confusion that translated to "That makes no sense" was just met by me saying "It's simple, there is no sense here. Take everything you know and do the opposite."
I too love doing the same things over and over. Love the amazing build, it’s so beautiful and liveable and the junk items add such a nice touch. I also love doing the same things over and over again
I'm just going to throw this out there, but "laundry list" is an archaic term from a time when people didn't all have washers and dryers in their homes or a laundromat (which wasn't a thing until the '30s or '40s I believe). No list, no way to be sure you're getting everything back from your local laundry service; so the lists were often somewhat lengthy. (edit: grammar clarification)
I miss the early days where a week after you finished doing all of this, the game would delete your base for you so you could do it all over again since you had so much fun the first time and you definitely remember exactly how you did all of it. We should really bring that back.

Love this theme! Fallout seems to favor the mid-century modern decor for some reason. I bought the Flatlands shelter and was thinking of doing a desert ranch type build. Good tip on the placing a tiny item under the chess board, wish I figured that out sooner.

i think it would be better to only make the outside walls into windows, and leave the inside walls opaque. This would simulate the structures Bethesda builds where you can't see in or out.
Are you going to do more shelter builds ? There's a upcoming shelter with a lake and a forest that would be cool to see you building when it will be available and I would love to see you build in the "flatlands" or the "toxic wastelands"

I'm a simple builder, not knowing how to do the build magic like you do 700 times, so I just picked a flat location that I liked and started a build. Build, fight off killer robots, scorchbeasts and scorched, go back to building and repeat.
