I know its for the MEMES but ill take ANY new Stratagems at this point just to keep things fresh. Does make me wonder if anything from all those old leak videos will EVER arrive.

      I've talked about bleedout before I believe, was definitely in one of my more recent videos on a weapon, I think the plasma scorcher. Basically once an enemy enters bleedout health, it begins losing...iirc 75hp per second in addition to any incoming damage to that pool. It then dies when it reaches zero, most visible on Brood Commanders.

    All weapons are equal in the eyes of super earth. But the autocannon is the MOST equal.

    My guesses as to why the autocannon blows up the fabricator back:
    1. There’s a tiny gap in the geometry/hitbox that causes the explosion hitbox to hit one of the fabricator’s inside hitboxes
    2. At that location, the explosion hitbox just barely clips through the outside and hits the inside hitbox

    The fact that each Factory Strider's door has a separate health pool is very good to know and also very stupid that it's a thing.

    Autocannon Mech can sweep the ground in-front of it... Just fire as you Melee, it points the left arm down and right into the face of the bugs 😁

    Figured id mention this - it is far safer to peek around the right side of cover with third person, and the left side of cover with first person, for the maximum coverage

    Additionally:
    For the fabricator shot, if you're trying to do this in third-person, remember that the Autocannon is one of those guns that fires at the static center-of-screen dot reticle if the circle and dot reticles are aligned (which usually happens if you're standing still).
    For rocket jumping, you can emote in mid-air to reduce falling impact damage.

    Has anyone told Eravin he speaks with the cadence if a zoo tour guide giving little factoids on the animals as you ride the little train around the enclosures?

    Honestly didn't know about the fact factory strider doors had separate health pools. Great to know!
    Also, smoke causes bugs to get stupid around ground objectives. They wont harm something you need to protect if its in smoke.

    Eruptor jumping with fortified armor has always been fun. Gets you out of bad situations too!

    thanks for the tips, by the way I know one that I don't see anyone using, you can use one stratagem after the destroyer has left you just need to select one stratagem and hold it on your hand and use whenever you want how ever you can't shoot otherwise you will loose it

      You can do the same with resupply. If you and your squad input the code at the same time, you will all be holding a resupply beacon. Then one person at a time can call it in, I do believe you have to wait for the supplies to land before throwing the next. It's a bit janky but damn is it wild when done.

    For the camera side switching I have found it most useful with guard dogs as it will make the guard dogs switch sides as well so you can avoid FF on teammates or allow it to fire around corners without needing to peek.

      While I knew you can switch sides with aiming I had no idea it moved the guard dog's position. That's really useful.

    Dunno about the smoke from players, but the smoke from those things laying on the ground do interfere with sentries too, they won't shoot anything behind the smoke.

    By default (on PS5) shoulder swap is hold down on Dpad which also bound to drop. You can remap shoulder swap to double tap on Dpad, helpful for shooting around corners.

    I was so excited when I found the shoulder swap
    But very disappointed when I saw it didn't change you character's stance at all. Some backpacks block your line of sight when swapping to left shoulder.

    Oh boy, another wave of people who are going to suffer in WW2 vehicles, buy into Cold War, and ruin matches because they don’t do their research, setup keybinds, and play like it’s Ace Combat…
    Seriously though; experience outranks everything.
    As always, appreciate the info! Hope they make it so that swap shoulders bind will apply to hipfire, as it would probably also work on the mecha and bypass that issue you guys found.

    I've been saying for a while I want to see competitive Helldiver speedrunning. I want to see a deathless helldive operation that is turely 100% (all objectives, spawners destroyed even the ones that aren'trequired for objective completion, and every sample collected)

    As a War Thunder refugee having the time of my life playing HD2, I recommend anyone seriously considering WT to take Gaijin’s ads with a pinch of salt. The game is great but not because of the reasons they list in their marketing campaigns.

    Hi there Eravin, great vids. I appreciate all the tips and tricks I've gotten from here. Idk if that tip has been shown on this channel before and I forgot which channel I heard it from since it was something I learned when the game came out, but when Pelican-1 comes in for extraction the doors generally open up toward the North-Northeast direction. So whenever someone leaves samples at the extraction it's good to leave it toward the North-Northeast direction of the circle so that it's easier to pick up if you need to extract under pressure. If it's left at the south side then Helldivers would need to run around from one side of the plane to the other and that could get them killed.

    For the smoke hiding you from gunship tip, can you fire your an HMG at it through the smoke for example and still have the gunship not detect you?

    Do you know how far the Detector Tower can detect you? I've heard 125m, but can't find anyone that claims to have tested this.

      I think most of those sub objectives are 150 meters. Jammer, gunship fabs, etc. but what might be odd with the detector tower is that I think it also takes into account height variables. The tower tends to look in a downward trajectory. While I'm not certain on the exact range, I had a game the other day where I started a solo helldive mission and almost immediately saw bot drop detected. There were no enemies around whatsoever and I go prone or crouch right after getting out of the hell pod. The drop was directly on me and no flares were in sight. I was confused but then I saw the tower in the distance shining right at me. I pinged it and it was like 200 meters away. I was also running the scout passive for my armor. The only difference I noticed was it was sitting higher than my elevation at drop which may have put me into it's LOS when I dropped in but who knows. Needless to say, I sprinted toward it and took it out with the orbital precision before doing the rest of the mission.

      Had it work as far out as 150m so more than likely 160m like others. But hey who knows.

    I believe if u can manage to emote the hug gesture during the rocket jump it might even further reduce the damage u take at landing. It works with very high falls as well.

    Fan theory, I think the bots use stims. This may be me, but I only find ammo, samples, and grenades when in bot outposts and compounds. I do see stims in outposts that have fallen SEAF agents, so maybe they collect and use them during the “human revitalization” into automatons process?

    The AC jump is also useful against bugs since you can just blast them at point blank to both kill them and remove yourself from the area.

    Hey Eravin, been loving your content after finding you 2 weeks ago. The weapon breakdowns are so good and the live stream VODs are amusingly chill. I noticed in one video that you have the default mouse sensitivity in-game, what dpi do you set your mouse to? I'm still learning M&K controls so the balance between movement speed and accuracy is something I'm trying to figure out. Thanks.

    Impact grenades work well for "rocket jumping" as well. Also, you can enter Pelican 1 via explosion.

    I have made accidental use of the second one a fair few times by being an AC brawler type when in solos or with a squad of more ranged allies. Using the smoke plants is also a way to get some air but it's a tad more finicky than AC-Jumping.

    Hey, I've been thinking about running some solo high diff missions recently, specifically on bots, but I am not sure where to start. Maybe you could make a vid breaking down everything we need to know? Especially regarding the 1.000.4 patrol fixes, such as spawn rates while solo and how patrols work

      a good go to for advice would be to join my discord and talk with the others there, they were all new to helldiving solo once and they love to share same as me

      The most important core trick for helldive solo is to realize that engaging in combat is for suckers in this game. Do not fight anything you don't need to fight. If you need to engage a group, wipe it before it calls for help. If you know you can't pull that off, try to bait a reinforcement call somewhere else first. When reinforcements get called, the correct play is to be long gone by the time they arrive. Then, if you still needed to do something, circle back once they despawn.
      If you absolutely need to fight stuff, abuse terrain and enemy pathfinding to ensure you don't get shot at by everything simultaneously. This (and wanton orbital barrage spam) can make even eradicate missions possible.
      Also, this should go without saying, but do yourself a favor and abuse the meta weapons for all they're worth. The only thing worse than solo helldive against bots is solo helldive against bots when you have no efficient means of handling gunships and no ability to stunlock devastators.

    I typically fire backwards using the grenade pistol to hurt myself for the stim boost. never thought about using the Autocannon though

    'AutoCannon - rocketjumping' seems silly enough to be an actual canon ocurrence with Helldivers goofing around after minimal training filters and a hellyeah bro gogetter attitude, might need to give it a try ~
    Closest thing I've done is meleeing those spore spots that release a cloud on impact, not as far as a jump from what I saw in this video, but a less deadly way to jump around

    Biggest tip for the gunship smoke strat: DO NOT DO IT NEXT TO A WALL!
    For some reason the gunships can detect you through walls sometimes, and smoke does not go through wall, so they will see you through the wall(avoiding the smoke) and attempt to shoot you through the wall, often sending you flying far enough with a missile to send you out of your smoke. Be warned. The smoke doesn't go through walls, but the gunship AI will try to.

    appreciate the gunship trick with the smoke. playing bots on lvls 8 or 9 has been a real challenge with gunships swarming. For the purposes you described, do you prefer eagle or orbital smoke?
    i was bringing smoke in my loadout alot back in the day, will probably revisit it now

      I prefer Orbital Smoke when running a different eagle as I don't want to have to rearm and lose smoke access for 2 minutes, and run eagle smoke when running no other eagles for additional on demand charges

      @@EravinVT What about smoke grenades, are they viable? was thinking +2 grenade armor with a shield and smoke grenades and running interference. or grabbing smoke nades and an autocannon/laser cannon and dealing with it myself.

    i accidently saved my butt with smoke vs gunships. i called down a hmg emplacement as it turns out the buffed purifier cannot deal damage on them and there was a whole patrol on top of me. i called the smoke to cover my hmg and none of them fought back. they all ignored me and focused on my teammates. i didnt realise the smoke was that effective agaisnt them

    I wonder if the fabricator weak spot is related to how the Airburst Launcher can take out a fab from the side/rear. I was testing that yesterday, and could take one out about 75% of the time by aiming for the automation symbol in the middle of the side. There used to be a weak spot near the red corner lights, but since the big balance patch the aim point seems to have shifted.

    I use spore pods, a dive, and a bullet. You take way less damage and can fly further.

    That AC fab trick is SUPER neat. Was playing around with it earlier today 😊 - in my short testing, the back has been a lot easier than the sides, which has been easier than the top netting (as seen on the reddit post). I'm curious to see if it's possible to skip it into a gunship fab, now seeing that an abrl can (at least when the doors are open).

    Some genuine feedback (which I hope doesn't come across poorly, I DO believe in 'getting the bag' and all that) -- I feel like the ad/sponsorship got a bit out of hand on this one. 2:20 of this 8:45 video is War Thunder (and some of it is intro, outro, endcard etc). Well over 25% of the video is sponsorship -- I think a 2 minute ad read is a bit long for content this short (and a bit much for anything other than the biggest projects tbh)

      My content is always information dense short and to the point, most creators would take ten to say what I do in 5 so running any longer for the sake of making the sponsorship smaller by comparison wouldn't do anyone any good. I would of likely included it in a longer form video if there was longer form content worth making atm. The month has been quite dry.

    The video doesn't even make 9 minutes, I think a 2 minute ad for War Thunder may have been a little much. I found myself skipping it, pauing and going "still going? How much of the video will be left?" *Tap tap tap tap* "oh my god, still going~"

      Don't think it's a problem, it just means I don't pad my videos for length, all the information was contained within a deliverable 5 or so minute package. While sponsors contribute to my continued ability to do so.

    You can get an easier kill by using the commando and just picking a spot on the fabricator than the autocannon.
    Which has led to me getting hilarious longshots where the clankers are scrambling over each other like beheaded chickens wondering what in the gear twisting fuck just happened.

      yeah seen that mentioned a few times that its also pretty minimal damage, we ran with AC just because it has the biggest shockwave and highest push value but all 3 work

    Hey Eravin, am i just imagining things or do weapons like the CS indeed have radial bullet spread around the the crosshair which is depended on stance and stamina? Something i noticed these last weeks is that going on my knees makes me hit heads way more consistent. sadly im not aware of a datamined archive with all of those stats shown (only the helldiver io one)

      Changing stance and position does alter where on the crosshairs bullets land when it comes to long barreled weapons

    I've always shot in the middle of the strider factory doors with the autocannon. Does that hit both doors for the same damage or does the one that the projectile hit take more damage?

      I think they added that in a recent patch where hiding in vegetation makes you harder to spot from a distance. Obviously a bug/bot right next to you will see you. But more distant enemies may lose sight of you if you can dive into some bushes.

    At this point, WHAT CAN'T THE AUTO CANNON DO? Its the Swiss Army Knife of Support weapons. I think the only thing It can't do is kill a Bile titan.... and yet "we will find a way".
    Fun fact, if you have a drone buddy when you swap shoulders, it WILL swap shoulders. What can I say they love the camera.

      It can kill a bile titan. The method is just extremely jank, because you have to stand under it's tail and shoot squarely straight up, so it will do damage and not ricochet.

    Btw what do you think of the hmg emplacement? I’ve been using it a ton vs bots and when used properly, it feels absolutely amazing, although it’s better in open planets where there are fewer trees and such

      My main problem with it is, why bother with this thing when you could just run the actual HMG support weapon instead? It's way more flexible.

      @@BackwardsPancake no reload, no recoil, more defense, relatively low cooldown, no supply pack needed, can be used with other support weapons, and if you still really want to bring the regular hmg, you can still do that (tho i personally would not). I find that in most missions, if i use it right, one well placed hmg emplacement helps clear the entire area so that either me or my teammates can deal with whatever happens to be alive. not saying it makes the hmg absolute by any means, but if im bringing a different support weapon (especially anti tank), it really helps a lot
