Quick Yau Last Cross Edge Tip for Big Cubes

    Ooh this is actually super useful - the way I do it is right after finishing l4c I immediately hold cross on bottom after taking a mental note if a cross edge is stuck in the cross layer, and I pull it out with either F/F' if there's a non cross edge in FR/FR, or else U/U'/U2 F2
    Probably not as efficient but it gives me a lot better flow into my last cross edge (since I always pair it up on E) and consequently better flow into L8e

    As someone who does 7x7 and 8x8 yau I should definitely try this. I did try to force cross-pieces out of that spot before but didn't think about wide R moves.

      For 8x8 do a 7R2 move - that will guarantee you a free slot (7 choices for 6 edges)

      ​@@hellgate25000 My main (overlooked) point of wide R over outer-slice R (which is what I would have done previously) would be getting the M slice pieces out of the U face.
