I get the feeling like this is going to get really good by the middle of the movie when they get to the Arthur/Orm stuff. My concern is we might not get enough of that to keep the movie really entertaining. And I don't just want headbutting humor. Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson can really sell drama, so I hope we get a few quiet scenes between all the comicbooky stuff. I loved the first one so I was always going to watch this anyway, but the trailer looks good so I'm hopeful

DC can never win. People complain that Blue Beetle looked too “bland” and “generic” and go into it thinking “eh, it looks…ok?” Then James Wan gives us a visual feast and things that are unique and different to what we normally get in comic book movies, and people will still be like “eh, it looks…ok?”

I am simply overjoyed at the prospect of witnessing Atlantis once more in all its glory. I am truly excited to see the sequel of Aquaman as well. The character, such as Ocean Master, is simply awesome, and I cannot wait to set my eyes upon its majestic presence; all of its wonders alongside the breathtaking views of the underwater kingdoms.
For a movie that has been getting a lot of crap lately, at least they still managed to make a good trailer. I'm a sucker for bromance movies so who knows, this one could be fun at the very least haha

I hope Werner Bros. apologizes to Johnny Depp and that Ámber is fired for defamation, This movie will be a flop around the world because of Ámber

The trailer shows potential and it's doing its own thing away from comics clearly in some ways. It's letting Momoa continue to be Momoa within Aquaman. It's lacking in spectacle a bit but it feels like a clear sequel continuation, so it's doing what it's supposed to do and leaning toward fun in the midst of impending crisis. I'll see it to see what was done. The trailer and the choices made are decent.
Looks like a fun winter action ride. I enjoyed the first and if it’s at least as good as that I’m happy. I’m hoping Gunn can bring DC to what it should be because I’ve given up on Marvel outside of seeing what they bring with Deadpool
I genuinely enjoyed the first movie. James Wan brought an 80s sword and sorcery vibe to it which I liked. So with that saying, I'm optimistic. We'll see.
any director who decides to work with wb needs to do what nolan did which was get total control of the project because wb is very good as destroying films
This movie felt like a pointless hold over from the original DCEU to me at first. But then I kind of started thinking that maybe Gunn will let Mamoa stay and complete his trilogy as an elseworlds thing just like The Batman. The first movie was one of the highest grossing DC films of all time, so they’d very likely like him to continue and complete his own trilogy if this film succeeds. Then maybe Gunn will hold off from including an Aquaman in his DCU for a while until Mamoa’s trilogy is complete.
This reminds me of the comic book "Atlantis Chronicles" i had a feeling that another DC villain (Kordax) would be involve. and also, the presence of any Lovecraftian species.
The only reason I'll go to theater to watch this movie is Jason Momoa ngl. Unfortunately DC is a mess rn, and no matter how tasty and glorious the visual looks, I'm keeping my expectations at bay for now.
To be fair Avatar is more other worldly reality based were Aquaman is more fantasy style based I agree how cool would it be to see an Aquaman movie in an Avatar level Cg fashion but because Aquaman is fantasy style based I like what they go for there
FYI: the giant seahorse a throwback to 60s and 70s Aquaman baby and I'm here for it but then again I have fond memories ot that iteration of those DC supers - yes I'm old 😄

This actually looks fun, I just couldn’t get into the first one but I’ve got high hopes for this! This movie releasing in December doesn’t fit, should have released during the summer though.
Sooo I didn’t hate the first movie. The plot for this isn’t overly stimulating, but it visually looks great which is why I didn’t hate the first one lol so I’m shocked that like people came out of screenings saying it was “unwatchable”

Funny to see the actor (Vincent Regan) who played Monkey D Garp in One Piece is the one who plays King Atlan in this movie.
Regan was in Troy and 300 too. Graham McTavish portrayed Atlan in the first movie.
