I'de love to see the start, work and rising of Booker T but only up to him signing for WCW.. From what I've heard and read about Booker.. He worked his backside off (after having a really rough childhood) to get to where he was and so many wrestlers shoot good comments about Mr Spinneroonie..

He didn't use cocaine, he was allergic to it. It would have been some other kind of stimulant he was on. But he could just be that intense naturaly aswell. That's why those people were able to become wrestlers and us normal people not. We think they must be on drugs just because for us to have that kind of persona we'd have to be under the influence of something when they don't

I agree that these managers were great in their own right. Mr. Fuji managed the great Yokozuna and the Demolition team. Paul Ellering had the Road Warriors (Legion of Doom in the WWF). James J. Dillon is, of course, famous for associating with the original faction, the Four Horsemen.
Unfortunately you forgot to mention, that Sherry was the manager/valet of Ted DiBiase, after she parted wirh Savage at Wrestlemania 7. Despite that, great video like always.

I wish everyone could have seen how good Jimmy Hart was in his Memphis days. He would go back and forth turning heel on Jerry Lawler and bringing in a big star to challenge him every Monday. I miss the good ole days of managers cheating to help their wrestlers win.

There have been only three truly great managers in the history of professional wrestling. Jimmy Hart, Jim Cornette and Bobby Heenan. They are the absolute cream of the crop. However I always did get a kick out of when Freddie Blassie used to say pencil neck geek.
As a kid I always loved it when a wrestler had a manager. I figured a wrestler needed to be good enough to deserve a manager. The manager always hyping the wrestler up as the greatest. Now when looking back at some segments with grown up eyes and a bit more knowledge of industry itself it's cool to notice that the managers managed new talent who were not good on the mike yet. It's a real testimony to their on screen performance when you can conduct a 5 min interview and are talking for about 90% of that time and making someone else look good
I'm a huge Hayman fan but Low key lol nah.. He changed the industry with ECW. But his sign with cm punk was nothing. WCW days He was still learning. You maybe need to check those promos they weren't that great. As Roman reigns manager It is thit's not anything. This time rose Brock was needed cause Brock couldn't talk. Nothing really groundbreaking With those runs.

I cannot believe you forgot to mention Bobby Heenan's time working with Gorilla Monsoon on commentary in WWF! That duo was as iconic in the 90s WWF as the duo of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler was in the decade that followed.
Without any thought behind it ...Bobby the brain 🧠 Heenan. Easily the greatest manager of all time.... shame how he was treated in his last years poor guy.....he was comedy gold ..smart about the business and a hell of a promo 👏.. rest in peace
Wrestle with Andy... you forgot that Freddie Blassie also manged a young Hulk Hogan who was a heel at the time. in WWWF During his initial run as a villain in the WWWF. in the late 70's and early 80's............. years later when Hogan turned Heel and joined the NWO I was not suprised by it since I knew he had been a heel before.
Bobby Heenan will always be the GOAT in my opinion, but others were very good, Cornett, Heyman, sensational Sherri jimmy hart and Paul bearer being other faves

Jim Cornette & Bobby Heenan are the greatest managers ever! Two men who I hated as a kid watching WWF/WWE but as an adult going back and looking at them through different eyes I can appreciate just how amazing they were, doing their jobs perfectly. Today I love to listen to Jim Cornette’s podcast and to watch his work with Kayfabe Commentaries be it YouShoot, Breaking Kayfabe, his roast or Back To The Territories or watching any other of the shoot interviews he’s done as he’s so interesting to listen too and funny too. Bobby Heenan was awesome too and it’s a shame what happened to him and I saw a video of him at a wrestling convention less than 12 months before he died, unable to talk and how thin and gaunt he looked made me cry, as he was unrecognisable. And if they hadn’t of written it was Bobby Heenan for the video title or mentioned his name in the video I wouldn’t know who he was. But going back and watching him and listening to him on commentary with Gorilla Monsoon was pure gold especially when they did Prime Time together I’m currently watching them on the WWE Network and they’re brilliant, something they can’t do with today’s product
A manager that gets forgotten nowadays is Gary Hart. He was one of the best from the territory days, creating a monster heel faction that went after the top babyface.
Sunny also manged the Godwins and the Smoking Gunns. Paul also manged Vader in the wwf. Jim was also a commentator for wwf as was the Brain. Jimmy Hart also managed The Nasty Boys, Money Inc And The Natural Disasters And Dino Bravo. After splitting with Savage, Liz Manged Hogan For A Bit. Sherri Also Manged Doug Summors and Buddy Rose the AWA Tag Champions and B4 She Manged Shawn she Manged Million Dollar Man and b4 Tatanka she managed Marty Jenetty for a short spell
Freddie was the master of crowd heat. Early 80s, cold war period and the Iran contra tensions, Freddie Blassie managed the Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff.. and put a teatowel on his head and called himself Ayatollah Blassey You couldnt POSSIBLY draw more heat from a crowd with that gimmick lol. To be honest? If I were a wrestler and could have anyone accompany me to the ring, I wouldn't have a manager, nor a valet, I would have an Executive Consultant, and that man would be Perfect for the job.
I know Jim Cornette from his appearances in Dark Side of the Ring. And I really think that without Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar wouldn't have been the same when he started out as The Next Big Thing
Manager aside. My favorite commentator in any sports or entertainment event of all time is Heenan. Every match was comedy gold as he would roast every baby face. Nothing he said was true and always made them sound ridiculous and he did it all on the fly..
Mr. Harvey Wippleman didn't make the cut? At least he should be an honorable mention. I really miss the good old days of having a great heel manager who would get involved in matches, deliver some awesome promos, then have to eat dirt later on. We have Paul Heyman now, and he is the last of a legendary breed of manager.

Paul Bearer is my favourite character manager, but my favourite proper no frills straight up manager is Heenan. His family was absolutely brilliant.
