Coming from playing a lot of 2k, these videos are really helpful thank you!. I pretty much mastered 2k on the hard settings,i adore it. Got this one on my xbox yesterday. I love it, I knew I would as I love anything golf. Its a lot harder than 2k though, which is fine I'm up for the challenge. Just wanted to comment to say thank you these help also that I subbed and liked! ❤️

I'd put the 60 degree chip ahead of the flop, purely because the make % will be so much higher once you get the run out dialled.

Just looping back around to say after watching this video this morning and using these shot types (and working toward the Pick which I don’t have yet) that my short game has drastically improved. I’m a big believer in using the Challenge Mode’s training section to really get some reps in with these shot types. Thanks again, midKnight!

I use the flop shot a LOT and it works great. Not sure if I have the pick shot yet or not.
Pick shot with max loft stops almost immediately. It has saved me countless times when in the bunker and a pin that is close to me
flop is great but i prefer the high flop it seems to stop alot quicker than any other shot.

dope vid….can you post a vid on how you distributed your skills points and how they affect the bronze, silver, gold shots…..i could only get bronze pick shot and i’m already maxed out 😢

For beginners that don't have skill points I still use pitch use bring it back like 12ft put low loft and it can be close less running. For blast I'm pulling it way back and again low loft and less then full swing. Chip I don't use cuz I don't think I have a 60 wedge options only 7i, Also for driver get powershot and smash the X while u pull back to get a super power shot animation. Floppy is poppy good but I short them also lol.
If you cycle through clubs you can chip your 60. It just presets 7 iron

Come to rely on the flop shot. Made a few repeated mulligan attempts w/the chip and found it too unreliable as to actual distance and roll out. Sure, it could be the higher percentage shot vs flop to make the shot. Now, if there was a better swing meter to determine partial shots...
I have an xbox and bought "The Cup" version of the game. Do these tips work for my version and platform?
Man, that Spinner is my Go-To when I have a little distance to cover. That thing is pure GOLD for saving par.

Perfect these because the greens are totally broken at this point. The breaks aren’t consistent and I tried that putt assister just to see what it’s about and I have no clue what the hell they were trying to do with it. I thought I was following it and putts weren’t even close so I turned that right back off.
Apparently They acknowledged there is a green issue and needs to be patched

The main problem I am having is par 3's. Do you have any videos or tips on how to hit the green on a consistent basis without overrunning it?
You can change the view angle on the flop challenge so the rock behind you doesn’t totally obscure your golfer…not ideal but is a work around until they fix it. I used this to do the first 2 stars…making the flop shot into the cup is tough and still haven’t done it! Same for the chip in star…must have had 100 goes with no success! Lost count of the times I’ve shaved the hole, 😢

That flop challenge is brutal! Had so many sit right on the edge of the cup.
There's too many ways to hit the same shot & that is what's cool.
For me I use flop to get it within 5-8 ft. But your not sinking them. Pitches i allow for 8 yds and can sink those 10-15%. Chips are brutal until you learn the distance. Like so brutal lol. However you can make these the most. Spinner I’ve never tried. Long flop and high flop don’t seem as good either. Lots of types of shots and approaches but many suck. I’m only lvl 30 with no club specs etc and -8 or -10 a round. Can’t imagine how easy this game is kitted out and high lvl.
The flop gets high enough that the wind will effect it a bit so just keep the in mind

Avoid flop - bunker - use pick shot ….
In windy courses use knock down approach ….don’t use too much back spin

Under your golfer there are skill points. You get 50 total. Under each category there are little shields that say what level of shot type you get for adding skill points to that level.
You play with the arcarc off? I’ve set it to full, the shadow is where the ball should end up?

Can anybody explain how to set power?
Let's say you are lining up an approach shot. I move the cursor down or towards me to shave off some power on the shot. When swinging, do I still push up with a full swing, or do I press up before the ideal swing point? I still don't get power and doing half swings in this game. There is no way to determine half power, quarter power and all. A little confusing compared to 2K.
Yes. Wherever you move the cursor that is now the full swing distance. It is not like 2k where the full swing gets adjusted

These shots like flip being op. Need to have like a fat or thin. If you swing too fast or over swing it should thin the shot, if you slow or under swing you should get a fat. That’s what golf games are missing. Flops shouldn’t be just oh I’m aiming dead at it and I’m going to be tap in really no matter what
Really does nothing but gain or take distance off. Also wish they made the lie matter. Say you try hit a flop but it’s more plugged it should have different outcome. Just like real golf if you’re kind of plugged you aren’t going to hit a flop. But with that I feel like approach game will be where the game will really separate people. So far to me, drive or approach to me neither one holds the green at all. Say I have 232 in that’s a 3 wood. I hit it higher to land softer could be at front of green that slants up I’d still land it at the front and it roll all the way off the back into the rough. Anything really over a 6 has no bite on the game. Dk if I just haven’t unlocked what I need to unlock but that’s finesse shots or approach shots neither bite. I’m having to club down 2 clubs to get green. But then it’s also like why care about hitting the green I can just flop it out of the heavy rough for a tap in. My strategy has been just smack the ball down as far as I can get it flop it out play a birdie. Or par on 3s unless it’s 7 iron down.
I think the lie will be patched because it seems to be an issue
Kind of a shame the flop is the easy go to shot, when it's actually the most difficult in real golf.

I'm terrible at this game. I'm so bad the game feels completely broken to me, and I've played many many golf games. Maybe I'm just getting too old 🤷♂️

It came out today and ea pass and deluxe edition people (I think) have been playing for a few days.
The game came out 4/4 for deluxe owners
Just trying to help...please see a speech therapist.....your lisp is due to the fact you place your tongue in an incorrect position for some words. It is an east fix, just a few weeks. Or, you can practice in the mirror, keep your tongue behind your teeth. Good luck.
