It’s not like you are fixing to go broke, you could tell her to piss off and have a nice relaxing day without any financial worries. You go willingly into that disaster to help someone, maybe make a buck, maybe not.

Probably the most disgusting creepy job I can remember was going on a service call to troubleshoot some receptacles with no power in a double wide trailer. The guy that owned it was creepy as hell. He was in his late 50’s but he had a shrine of of Britney Spears pictures plastered wall to wall, cut from magazines and posters in the bedroom room where the bad receptacles I was troubleshooting were. I didn’t want to touch a damn thing in that room. If you lit up a black light in that room my guess is the whole room probably would’ve been glowing. The house had a terrible odor to it. The house could have been on an episode of hoarders. I almost tripped over a mummified cat in one bedroom. I was getting some very strong Norman Bates Ed Gein serial killer type vibes. If he would have walked up behind me and startled me, he probably would’ve ended up catching a claw hammer to the skull. I thought for sure I would find his mother’s mummified corpse somewhere in that house when I went looking for the breaker panel. I literally couldn’t get out of there fast enough. When I got back to the shop I told the owner of the electrical service company I worked for, don’t ever send me there again.

I believe that Steve was actually looking out for the lady since she could not be counted on to obtain or replace batteries, and the old t-stat could have failed this winter and involved another no-heat situation and service call expense. I believe that he judged that it was time to replace that stat. Besides, the electrical box in that home was haywire and likely had compromised the old stat. I base this upon watching many of Steve`s v-logs. (Other than that, if Steve makes political comments on these presentations I believe that it is appropriate for you and others to as well). This was one of the gems in your crown, Steve! (That woman cussed on par with YOU). You needed a shovel to enter that basement. The cab driver story, un-fuckin`-believable! This one had it all...comedy, drama, reality TV, and spot light upon a typical New England old lady living in the Twilight Zone. Yet, you breezed through that nightmare of all shit shows like supernatural force of nature. Amazing! And fixed the furnace too!

@@sidehustletips I don`t honestly believe that Steve would think it appropriate to get his customer in any kind of trouble that she is not in already. He adores his dog, and probably would not want to have someone take the poor woman`s cats away from her. Besides he did post this video, and documented the situation to at least 990 viewers.
