This is a prime example why I think rc companies should offer more options with buid your own kits, like geared more towards bashing or speed runs or scale etc, just to point people in the right direction to get the results they want
Silent ripper!! Can't get over how quiet the thing is. Took some good hits too...I was about to say heavier oil in the shocks will help that little extra bit, but of course you knew that. Epic little thing on 3s! Nice driving Vas and Happy New Year!!
Nice upgrades; do you have a recommendation for upgrade arms maybe from RPM which have same size? I have done today my first bash and first soft crash and the first arm was broken in two...
Thicker shock oil? I have a similar "issue" on my modified arrma 3s (started out as a senton, now its more like a typhon with granite tires and some mods), it also bounces of the ground after landing a jump somewhat nicely. The kyosho looks amazing! Great video as always!!!! Thanks for all the good family friendly content!!!
Yes, I think you might be right. As I was watching the video back, I did notice a bit too much rebound, especially in the rear, so a shome shock tuning is in order before the next bash. 🙂👍 Thanks so much for the kind words and for supporting the channel, and you're very welcome. 😎
Madvan. Nice rig and nice and quiet, my Arrmas are so loud with our house in close proximity, use the arrma 4s or 6s shocks on 3s Arrmas , possibly the mad van too , cheap easy to tune and bigger
Thanks, i will first try with thicker oil. Mainly because its cheaper 😅, but also because so far up until the last mods, I was happy with the stock shocks from the 3s arrma, but I will try the 4s/6s shocks some Day. Happy New year 🎉 😅
I recently bought this rc and really like it, I have a lot of cars, a lot! This one is great, thought the suspension needs work but the car is very durable and unique, something different it's pretty cool very smooth.
Awesome video Vas! Followed your suggestion on the suspension set up but running thicker oil and it TRANSFORMED the truck. I’m running the Proline Hyrax 2.8s and they are a great tire choice. They come with extended 12mm hexes so fit perfectly
Good mods. I can’t believe it did the superman jump so well. Even a front flip omg! Did you bought the Arrma 4S Outcast? I think that’s the perfect truck for you.
I like this thing, it does look cool. But here in the US I think the initial price is like $350. And I’m sure with all the upgrades you did, even if you got good deals on parts, you probably dropped at least another $200 into it? With tires, a body, and all the other goodies you added. So it’s basically at minimum a $500 car now? Why not just grab something like an Arrma Granite 3s for $329 and be done? Not hating, trust me I like this thing. But just my personal opinion, there are awesome 4x4 1/10 scale 3s vehicles as good, or better than that, for far less money.
Would be intrested to know how many $$ it took to get it up to this standard? I'm interested in picking up a Mad wagon but if I have to sink another $200-$300 into it then it might not be worth it?
It really depends on how far you want to go with it, but it will bring up the price a bit. The reward, however, is a solid basher capable of taking some serious hits while having good handling characteristics and being fun to drive. The biggest issue and one of the biggest expenses is the ESC. Changing mine out to a standard Hobbywing one, really woke the truck up and changed it's behaviour completely. Tyres will be your next expense if you're lacking grip, so there's another hole in the wallet. But to be fair, nearly everyone changes tyres on their RCs regardless, so don't know if that counts or not... In my case, I had tyres with 17mm hubs, so I bought the adaptors which also widened the stance a bit. The adaptors are about $10aud, so they're the cheapest mod/upgrade I did to this truck. Well, actually, adjusting the shocks was the cheapest as that cost $0 and made a considerable difference. I'm also running a 16T pinion and lastly, there's the body. Not a necessity, but I did it because I wanted to see if there were other options out there for this truck and so it looks different on camera. ;)
@AussieRCPlayground What you are saying makes sense. The new ESC really woke it up on 3S and true, you can never have enough tyre and wheel options spare! Personally looking at stepping up into the 1/10 from 1/14 & 1/16 and was considering this as well as a few others. How is availability of spare parts with the mad wagon?
After my recent experience with the mad van ve I knew this truck had potential... actually hope they discontinue it so I can steal one lol... think Maybe a chevy silverado body or ford raptor would be kool if the wheelbase lines up... cheers mate 👍
Oh I miss understood, I decided to rip the mad van in my yard , it’s rough I didn’t want ruin the body , first jump I land something in gears messed up , I haven’t taken it apart to check maybe it didn’t strip just popped out , I think I added oil to the diffs
That's a sweet looking rig Vass.!! 👍 👍 👍 👍 Thank you for everything you do mate.. Have a Happy New Year, please stay safe out there & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️.!

Thank you so much, Steve. And Happy New Year to you too. 😎🎇🎆🍻
Seems to work great now 👍 looking awesome with the new body 👌
I like that thing. Something very satisfying about turning a decent car into a great basher.
Gotta love the kyosho mad wagon! Imo it's similar to the TA MT10 but way better with a few upgrades.
Nice upgrades; do you have a recommendation for upgrade arms maybe from RPM which have same size? I have done today my first bash and first soft crash and the first arm was broken in two...
Miss the RC pitstop type videos. That body looks epic.
Nice work Vas! Love that Bronco body 🤩

What body are you using? I know it’s a bronco but for what chassis?
Good mods. I can’t believe it did the superman jump so well. Even a front flip omg! Did you bought the Arrma 4S Outcast? I think that’s the perfect truck for you.
The 4S Outcast is on my wishlist for next year, just gotta save some coin first. 😁
@@AussieRCPlayground Totally get it. Can’t buy every rc that I want myself.
Looks like Kyosho is releasing a kit version with most of the upgrade parts included.
Yeah, the kit looks great and hoping to get my hands on one as well.

With some SC tires. I believe badlands makes a set....basically these but skinny. Yup. 🤠🤙🏼

Which wheelbase body is that?
Nice car and KOOL track. Where is the track located?
Alaska.

Its a shame, Kyosho is left behind in bashers :/
Most models are plain and pathetic.
Whole lot of blab blab..do you even backflip nosedive anymore
I don't know how to respond to that... 🤷♂️
Haters.....easier to block them sometimes..@@AussieRCPlayground
