One of the things I´ve realized with your videos is the psycollogical part of chess, whenever you review the grandmasters mistakes and suggest a better move, many times is possible to guess the player feelings at the time, even their personality!!... Believe it or not, this helped me a lot in my games, sometimes I make a move counting on my adversary´s emotional response, and I had won games that I was supposed to lose!, amazing!, Thank you a lot!
mato, the only thing harder than finding the killer move is knowing the continuation. often i can guess the killer move, but finding the correct continuation is like finding half a dozen mini killer moves.
Polgar has studied tactics since she was a little child and is one of the most tactically aware players around. Yet, very tiny inaccuracies were enough to finish her with Kramnik. There's a reason he has been one of the best for 20+ years.
I have to say its very discouraging that you stopped phone/app viewing. I understand it may be a measure to ensure you get yr ad space(& well deserved). As always thank you for the games Mato.
hi mato your chess vedios excellent compared to other chess vedios your style of narration is excellent were there is lot of variations and in depth chess skill i have improved my chess skills a lot by seeing your chess vedios
SakisD Xikos bishop takes b4 and then black bishop goes to F7 threatening queen and then black takes the dark square bishop. there is no pawn at f7 if that is what you mean. the pawn at b7 doesnt matter at all
Hi, this is Milan Ristic. :) just kidding. Mato, i realy love your work. you are just awesome. i personali love to play scandinavian. can you PLEASE show me how continue after white play E5 as his third move. GREAT WORK. keep it up please
I gotta disagree with you Mato, I think d5 is still worth consideration, just maybe not against Kramnik. The queenside dominance and white's dark-squared bishop looks very tempting. Well played game by Judit, but Kramnik got the kingside initiative and those pawns could never roll.
I have been watching your vedios for months ,but my problems become bigger after watching . I can not win any game . Is there a huge gap between my game and the other players ?
+Abkar Ahmed maybe I know why...lots of his videos showing the players done the best move...or something like that...you had tried to do it, right...but all of those players have huge experiences to handle the move..they already knew what to do after that...but we are not...the best, spectacular, killer move..all of these are risky..and need us to think further...
Upload some more of female chess players! They were not really given recognition back in the day. Just like female UFC fighters weren't. But ladies like Judit Polgar and Gina Carano show that there isn't really such a thing as "male dominated sport".
There absolutely such a thing as a "male dominated sport" in this case. Judit Polgar is an anomaly. She is probably the only female right now that can hold her own against top level male GM's (top 20 or so). As for MMA, once again the talent level is lacking in the female side. That is why the UFC did not bring over female fighters. Even now they only have a few and the female divisions lack depth.
one of best chess games i have ever seen so much different dynamics than any other players polgar and kramnik are just out there on another level
Thank you for your comment
Thank you for your compliment

That must be why the English Opening was played.
and where is England?
hi mato, i saw this game on live view, and when i was seeing i i thought: " i hope mr mato will make a video for this game! "
06:22 why not bishop x b4 if pawn takes bishop R x Ra8, Qx Ra8 and than Queen takes bishop.... ?!
Polgar has studied tactics since she was a little child and is one of the most tactically aware players around. Yet, very tiny inaccuracies were enough to finish her with Kramnik. There's a reason he has been one of the best for 20+ years.
Thank you Vandula
Itd be lovely to hear yr perspective on Anand v. Carlsen in the Classic..an epic draw in the final game.
I have to say its very discouraging that you stopped phone/app viewing. I understand it may be a measure to ensure you get yr ad space(& well deserved). As always thank you for the games Mato.
Thank you for going back to move 11; it was very instructive.
At 6:25, I think he missed Bxb4.
...axb4
Rxa8 Qxa8
Qxd5+ Kh8
Qxc4 ...
Shashwat Rohilla you lost 1 bishop for 2 pawns
Qxd5+ take a bishop in addition to 2 pawns
If Bxb4 then Bf7 attacking queen and black is winning a piece
I watch these videos purely for that amazing accent, and the cool chess of course
sorry after e7queen takes on rookf8 then black queen on g8 then bishop g5 to f6 check mate
I'm sure someday I will see all of Mato's videos, but its hard because I watch each one several times.
Fantastic tactics by Kramnik! Karpovian style.

It was long but imo worth it...very interesting game.
Cant see it from my ipad:(
Mato, how should I play vs. closed openings?
6.24 Bxb4 is winning ..if a5xbb4 then rxra8 and after qxa8 qxbd5 white is winning a pawn
Mato am I right?
if bxb4 then black can play bishop f7. and win the bishop
+George D. What?There is a pawn at B7
SakisD Xikos bishop takes b4 and then black bishop goes to F7 threatening queen and then black takes the dark square bishop. there is no pawn at f7 if that is what you mean. the pawn at b7 doesnt matter at all
+George D. Now I see .Thxu

Why do you refer to Kramnik by his last name or White but to Polgar often by her first name?
I don't know
No 18...exd4?
I love Judit's style -- interesting to observe.
Thank you Mato
Judith is creative and plays sharp games, but risky exciting chess against Kramnik?
i watched your chess game over and over but my brain doesn't work. by the way thanks you for the video
White's moves worked with each other magnificently.

what's the bs? Im just a 1600-1700 hack who's high all the time I aint got time to work out the details
Insightful game...delving past games from you reaps its own rewards! :-)
how will the rook sacrifice turn out at the critical moment? king takes rook
at 5 minutes there whats wrong w/Bh3 instead of Re5?
+mark unrau bullshit bruh
I have been watching your vedios for months ,but my problems become bigger after watching . I can not win any game . Is there a huge gap between my game and the other players ?
