- When I Was Out At The Local Goodwill Recently, I Came Across A Bag Off Stuff, Including A Camera And Printer Dock. This Is A Video Of Me Messing Around With It And Printing Out A Couple Of Pictures Taken With The Camera.
I just found the exact same item at a Goodwill recently packaged the same way. Once I got new ink/paper it all worked well. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate how it worked so I knew what to look for when setting it up.

I used to use an Epson ET-2550 ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.

I wonder if it’s possible to put new color cartridges and paper from the modern Kodak printer docks with the old Kodak easyshare docks. They both use dye sublimation technology so I was wondering if anybody knew if it was possible
Nope the modern docks have different cassette designs
It may be possible to break open an old used cassette and an unused new one and swap the reels but it depends on the spools being the same

That was fun may i also say you don't have to use the camera
When connected to your PC you can print any photo from your pictures folder
The big gotcha is the all important cartridges are harder to find and the thermal prints need to be kept out of the light to protect them from fading also going into the printer property's you can make adjustments to the quality as by default ive found it tends to print too light
Its kind of primitive but if you have the full kit then use it
One cartridge will be good for a pack of 40 sheets and the must be the special ones for this printer

You know how sometimes you buy something, use it once or twice, then put it away for 15 years? I just dug out my old Kodak Easy Share Camera & Printer Doc as I thought it would be nice to send my 93 year old Mother a photo for her Birthday. I had forgotten how to use it so your video was very helpful. I also found 2 CD's for the Kodak software. One is version 5.2 & one is version 5.0.2 - I don't know what is on the CD's yet but I will see if I can get on a Windows Computer at the library this week.
Majorjip, Did you ever get the software for the printer and if you did, is there a version for MAC? I have version 6.0 & 6.4 but can not get either to load on my mac.

Have one of these. Will print without kodak camera. You can connect direct to a computer or another camera. Only issue I have using it is its so slow.

My printer looks exactly the same as yours but I didn't receive the camera just printer, cd, paper refills and 3 ink refills. I'm trying to figure out how to print without a camera so if you have a hint how to print from mine by cell, computer, etc, then we'll be able to help each other. I currently own 3 other kinds of cameras that won't work on this printer, so I don't want to have to buy a camera too.
I actually did get ahold of a cd for a slightly newer printer that should work, and I found what seems to be the correct version software on archive.org, but I haven't gotten around to trying to install it yet. I will make an update video at some point soon trying to install it on a computer. If you can rip your disk to a .ISO, you can email it to me at majorjip@protonmail.com. In terms of the cameras, it seems these printers are very fussy with what camera it will work with and I'm really not sure what printers support what cameras.
@majorjip I'll play with it some more today and if I'm able to figure out on my newer computer how to send it I definitely will send you a copy. I'm pretty persistent on learning things on my computer and phones and figure stuff out on my own or Google it. Lol. That's how I learned all my computer skills, is stubbornness, persistence and strong will. 😆

Why do they all say “cartridge nearly empty (or similar words)”, when I have just opened a sealed 40 prints color cartridge and installed it in my working printer.
No matter what a company says about it's self being a family or people orientated company their primary goal is to make money so don't put it past them to fool you into buying more product than you actually need by making you believe your running lower on consumables than you are.
Hi I’m not sure if you will see this but where did the paper holder come from because I have a printer dock but it didn’t come with the paper tray and I am not sure what to do. Please help lol.(I have the paper and ink though)

Is the clear docking insert necessary? My camera didn't come with one.
great info ....curious how many pictures you able to print before having to reorder another cartridge ? I had a different camera. tried the printer out worked but it just printed half the picture. maybe cause it's a different Kodak camera. and another thing the cartridge was a different color then yours ....so I'm thinking of ordering another one cause maybe it's old .....I use to have a camera like the one you have not anymore

hi enjoyed your video have just opened up the same and found the cartilage was used up don't seem to be able to find a replacement I did take the card from my camera and put it in my computer so I could view all but would like to buy a cartilage
How disappointing that they longer have a software. I just found my old printer from 10 years ago!
Mines front door doesn't pop open like that. Mines a little different but the front is the same. Is there a lock on that front door? I don't want to break mine
I guess I can use the USB cable but the dock seems a little more convenient.

Well I found one too.And I thought that I had all the pieces.I have the power.I have to say I have the paper that incarcerates I there.I don't have the camera
When i try to load the software on my MAC it comes with an error message saying their is no software to load. Makes me think the CD's are blank.

hey, I have one of this things new, in its case. It has all the drivers and the software. I don't have any idea what to do with this, but maybe the software and drivers could help you to use it with a pc.

Halo, I've been looking for the software download as well. I have the software disc that came with my kodak easy share. I have 2 actually..my laptop isn't disc burner capable. So I'm frustrated to say the least . And like you I can find the download of any kind on internet. If you would like one of the disc's. I'm willing to let go of one. Just shoot me a nessage.

I have the G610....there are 2 things you can do......clean the gray wheels that pick up the paper.....and set the printer on the edge of the table so the photo paper tray hangs over.....it will drop down just a little bit and then it will pick up paper.

why would anyone buy this instead of any cell phone with a camera? is it nostalgia?
Maybe when cell phones start printing photos the only reason left would be nostalgia. I was just looking at the prints I made with my Easyshare dock of photos taken with my Canon and they look just as good today as the day I printed them nearly a decade and a half ago. No idea how long the ink on the prints will last, but I'm now dusting off the printer to put it to use again. Love digital, but I do miss the prints.
@@letetiamarie6652 as it turns out certain aspects in photo shooting are simply different from older and newer cameras i suppose it is the "feel" of the photo taken and in this case printing that makes it worthwhile. Theyre just different. btw my printer ink cartridge is on its last leg lol and i didnt notice thats one of the reasons i posted this

No, the Kodak printers that connect to a phone (PD-Series) use PHC-40 cartridge
