You'll want to select the image on the mat in Canvas Workspace, go to the Edit panel (on the right toolbar), scroll all the way to the bottom of that panel until you see the Offset button. Click on it and then follow the prompts on that pop-up menu, making sure to check the box that says "Create an offset line only around the outer edge." This should give you a nice outline all the way around your image without holes on the inside. If you wind up with some holes in the offset layer then place a shape over the hole and weld the two together to fill the hole. Exporting that image out of Canvas Workspace to print it will be tough (unless you have the illusive Print And Cut add-on recently available for ScanNCut). I would drag it off the mat, take a screenshot of it and then open it in a photo editing program to save it as a jpg that you can then print. I'm sure there are alternate methods as well but none of popping to mind right now. If you know Inkscape, you can do the offset on the image in that program and then export it as a JPG or PNG to then print it, but don't go down that rabbit hole if you have no experience with it. I hope that helps.
HI Nikki! When a mat is well used and won't re-stick after washing and letting it dry, I clean it really well with mild soap and water, let it dry. Then I carefully run one of those broad tip Zig 2-in-1 Glue Pens over the entire surface, giving it a thin coat and let it dry completely. That glue is blue and permanent when it's wet and when it's dry, it's clear and a repositionable glue. The really wide nib makes it pretty easy to use on the mat. Sometimes it can be too sticky after the glue dries, so then I just press it against my t-shirt or a towel to de-stick it a bit. I have had great luck with this way of re-sticking the mats. I hope that helps!
Hard to know for sure without seeing it but I would say light. If you're wondering about which transfer paper to get, I'd get dark because that can work with dark OR light fabrics while light won't work on dark fabrics (the color of the shirt will show through the transfer). Hope that helps!
Hi may i know whats your blade setting for the scan and cut machine? My cm700 fail to cut my heat transfer paper properly, ends up ruining my print. My blade setting is currently set at 2.5, default pressure.
Hi Firman, Unfortunately I am using an AutoBlade in the ScanNCut DX 125 so my blade is just set on Auto. It doesn't tell me the actual blade setting. My general rule of thumb with cutting machines is to increase the blade depth by 1 (so you'd go to 3.5), do a test cut and check it. If it still hasn't cut properly, I increase the blade depth by 1 notch again and do another test cut, etc. I keep doing that until it cuts through and only then do I cut the actual print. A bit time consuming, but better than ruining the print and then you'll know what setting you need for heat transfer paper in the future. I hope that helps! - Elena
Hi Diana, I have a Canon Pixma MG7720. I've had it for years so I doubt it's made anymore but there may be newer Pixma models available. It's designed to be an excellent photo printer so I think that's why I get high quality printing other things too. Hope that helps! - Elena
If you're asking about the type of heat transfer paper you can use, that depends on what type of printer you have, not on your machine. The heat transfer paper I used in the video is for ink jet printers but they also make it for laser printers. I'm not sure what you mean by "fill". If you can give me a bit more information, I will try and answer. Thanks!
@@BlackSheep303Crafts sorry dear I mean file 😉 ist svg? And what type of printer and ink? I haven't got any printer yet ,I thinking to get one soon, but not sure which one to get? One more question, cam transfer the pictures from brother cut and scan to transfer paper straight away, without using any printer . Thanks so much for ur help
@@media7580 That makes more sense - lol! Yup, SVG files work with Canvas Workspace, not sure if you can directly open an SVG file on the ScanNCut machine but you could export it from Canvas Workspace as an .FCM file to the machine. I am not a printer expert by any stretch but I have a Canon Pixma MG7720 that I've had for several years and really love it. It's an inkjet printer. I always look for a good photo printer - those usually can print well for crafts too. I hope that helps!
I just bought the brother scan and cut dsx225f…….also have the canvas workshop……but where can I get more of the logos, mug wrap, etc……canvas does not have a lots of choices…..I have try and try to find stuff to download or buy….please help….thank you
If you're asking about where to get materials I would recommend 143vinyl.com, expressionsvinyl.com or amazon (not usually cheaper but can be faster). If you're looking for design files, there are a ton of places. Etsy has vendors that sell SVGs. I belong to creativefabrica.com that has a monthly membership or individual pricing for SVG files. DesignBundles.net and FontBundles.net are similar sites and often have weekly freebies. The Silhouette Design Store is another place to get SVG files and they have a weekly freebie too. The Dreaming Tree is another great site. Those are just barely scratching the surface... If you do a google search for whatever you're looking for, like "tropical fish svgs" as an example, web sites will show up that offer that. I hope this helps!
Yes please, do a Canva tutorial. Thank you!
Thanks for letting me know!
Yes Canva tutorial, please! Great video.

If i have a image that doesn’t have the outline around it . How can i add that

Hi..How do keep your mat sticky or get it back sticky

Is Heather gray shirt, dark or light?

Canva tutorial pls. I have the basic program. Thank you.
No problem, it's added to my to-do list. Thanks for letting me know!
