This is how it looked on arrival.

When a vacant house has sat as long as some of Detroit's homes did- there were many times that when the call came in- this is how they looked minutes later on arrival. If it looks like they aren't frantically fighting this- they are still waiting on water. This is literally about a minute after they arrived on the scene. That annoying groaning and heavy breathing you hear is me- because it's so unbelievably HOT that I can't take it- and I moved back afterward. If you are not a firefighter who has been to a scene like this- there is NO way you can imagine the heat coming off this fire. TYFYS Detroit Firefighters!! I don't know how you do it.
