Two things: First, while you built the skane lockbow trigger correctly, it isn't positioned or implemented correctly. the cutout should be perpendicular to the length of the stock, not angled, because the stock itself is the string catch. (it's recommended to round the corner of the cut though) consequently, the pin should be almost flush against the forward edge of the cutout, because the pin isn't there to hold the string, but to push it out of the cutout to fire the crossbow. that will allow the trigger to fire on squeezing the lever instead of pulling it away from the stock. Second, the bow itself isn't positioned properly in the stock. A crossbow prod should not be perpendicular to the stock. It should be angled slightly downward so that the arms of the bow rise a bit above the level of the top of the stock when strung. That will keep the string from dragging against the body of the stock. that eliminates severe power loss from friction and also prolongs the life of the string.

Hi I like the woodworking and finish, the strength isn't bad either. I am also a carpenter. unfortunately, I don't have half as good machines. What I didn't like was the trigger mechanism. The trigger mechanism works the other way around for you! The weapon should fire when the lever is pushed in, not when it is pulled out. This is not good at all, you can't aim with it. It's like shooting a firearm by pushing the trigger forward and not by pulling it But I see that the stock can be converted. hook the strink into the cut stock. The arm should press a pin that pushes the string up and it's done.

Its a nice crossbow, but……. Made in a workshop utilising machinery costing thousands. Very few people would have that kind of machinery in their workshop. It would have been more realistic if it had been made using hand tools and small power tools which is more likely what you would find in the average diy workshop.
Just from looking at the thumbnail, I can see a major flaw in your design. You need to make the string attachments closer to the same plane that the bolt is on. You are losing power with that setup.

beside the balliste which was a giant crossbow that was shooting a spear the romans also used a regular size crossbow that they called scorpion but the bow was not in one piece like yours but 2or3 pieces of wood of different sizes with a string wrapped around them all though it was not made of metal it was very powerful in an old roman battle field they have found the skull of a soldier that had been killed by the scorpion the arrow went right thru his skull from one side to the other thanks 4 sharing :)

Two things:

Second, the bow itself isn't positioned properly in the stock. A crossbow prod should not be perpendicular to the stock. It should be angled slightly downward so that the arms of the bow rise a bit above the level of the top of the stock when strung. That will keep the string from dragging against the body of the stock. that eliminates severe power loss from friction and also prolongs the life of the string.
You should not watch this as a crossbow maker😂
