*Kurdman Pouyesh,* that is also starting to be the case for me. *No reverse Rashid,* really does make games interesting. When i'm in a mood for defense, I try to go Tigran Petrosian defensive style but not often.
I never comment videos usually, but this game is just pure magic. That attack is just a piece of art. I wasn't interested much in chess before watching your videos, but now I can never miss one ! Keep up the excellent work and thank you. this channel is growing up so fast and it is 100% deserved.
In the book "The Absolute Correspondence Championship of the United States Chess Federation 1976-2010" Robert Forbis is mentioned. It says he was born in 1958 and has played in some correspondence chess events including being part of the winning team in the 1992 Division I USCF Correspondence Chess Team Championship.

@@phdcmd No, Forbis is Robert Forbis. Seirawan and Silman included the game in their book Winning Chess Tactics, but the name got misspelled in the second edition.

Ha ha ha ha tal sacrifices everything , expect that game.... Soon or later.... Opponent encountered.... His mad player .. Lot of respect... Thanks for sharing
People are afraid to mention that he was also called, "The Devil from Riga". I prefer that one because it truly reflects the fear many opponents had of him.
Robert Forbis is a long-time chess player, mostly in correspondence. Played 4 times in the US Absolute, the invitational correspondence annual championship. He told me this was the most fun he ever had.
@2:18 In Tal's games, 'the queen has to move' is a premature assumption, it should be backed by concrete calculations showing why a queen sacrifice makes no sense in the position :) (Just kidding, it indeed makes no sense here. But I did consider Bxf7+ briefly when you said that there's no way to save the bishop from the exchange on b3 :))
question: in minute 5:16 if u push the E pawn to e5 u win the knight? cause the queen its unprotected. Or white have a move to refute this? its difficult to think that with two strong players in the board but i don't see how refutes that. (i don't speak good english so sorry if i made write mistakes)
Continue your Good work !! Keep it up and I would like you to make some teaching videos like openings or some middle game tricks etc, Just one out of your 3 or 4 videos.
Won't work. After snatching white's Knight, if white pawn marches to f6, then black Q can simply snatch white's g2 pawn and protect the g file. Attack is over. White will then certainly lose due to being down tons of material.
Found the move! Wooohooo :D 4th time on this channel! The only moves I could not found, no matter how much time I took thinking, where the moves played by Rashid Nezhmetdinov
at 9:50 when queen captures knight , why not again queen g5 with check , lets say king h7 or h8 , and then pawn f6 threatening checkmate with queen g7 next move .. how white can stop this ? i missing something ?
you told us about the defense later in the video but what if white queen capture h6 without moving Knight from d5..?? that would also lead to checkmate..??
Stunning. How does he think of these moves? Could he see much further ahead than other players? Was he reckless -- did he lose a lot of games due to over-optimism?
At 6:33 after the white queen takes the black knight, I was looking at black moving the h pawn right away, but then I noticed if he does that white can take the g2 pawn (also attacking the rook) and guard against the mate so Qg5+ is a great move that prevents white from doing that.
I always wonder what these guys are thinking who play Tal... As far as I can tell, it's something like, "Hmm, who am I paired with? Tal? Great, I'll play the sharpest opening I can think of, maybe people will watch the game on RUclips in 30 years!"
*I never knew of Tal's name until 2 months ago.*
When I did knew, he became my favorite Chess player immediately.
ikr! same with me!
Tal was my favourite for a long time. But 2 last week I found my new favourite: Rashid Nezhmetdinov
*Kurdman Pouyesh,* that is also starting to be the case for me. *No reverse Rashid,* really does make games interesting.
When i'm in a mood for defense, I try to go Tigran Petrosian defensive style but not often.
You should also check Vassily Ivanchuk . Both players have their own unique style of playing
Alekine was similar to Tal, if not better
"and here comes the dragon slayer" and i got goosebumps
Tal is the programmer behind Alpha Zero.
Or there is a miniscule Tal pulling the leverage inside the kom-kom.. Kommunist..?
No, computer.

What what a beautiful checkmate! "That's what I like to see." Haha definitely.
BMessemer hahahahaaa preach
Agreed never seen such
This is incredible, this channel is getting about 1000 followers a day. Hard work pays off, nicely done!
Marcel Masqué Smart work!
People say, "But Tal's opponent could have refuted Tal's attack!". My answer, "tick...tick...tick...tick...".
Yes, and the same when they analyse Morphy games even though time controls were different
hahahaha
Nathan G what do you mean time controls were different
yes, how do you like you tactics delivered, tick...tick...tick... tick...
It is easy to find the answer after the examination.
I'm the only one that laughs in every Tal's game? Hahahaha this man is amazing!

Sadness is knowing you won't get any more Tal games after a while
This is art made by greatest artist.
With Tal there's always suprises
I really like the he play.
Thnaks for all videos... Now tal becomes my favorite... ... I mean way he played.... Just wow....
Amazing game by Tal, I like the way you explain chess, very instructive. Keep covering Tals games!
What masteful strategic designs and piece combinations were hiding in Tal's mind!!
Ha ha ha ha tal sacrifices everything , expect that game.... Soon or later.... Opponent encountered.... His mad player .. Lot of respect... Thanks for sharing
I'm now totally addicted to Tal's games.
Man tal is so good! Such beautiful chess! He has such a powerful impact on us viewers! Really glad that i had a chance to experience such beauty
This is one of the greatest game ever played
:D *This* is why we love Tal.
286 / 0 like to dislike ratio. Gosh agad the content you make is so enjoyable to watch. Big fan
Definitely one of the coolest chess games if not the coolest I’ve ever seen
“Tal has a different idea” just means he sacrificed his queen haha
this divine checkmate was definitely my Christmas gift ..
I like how at the end, only 2 pawns and 1 knight gave a clean checkmate. Very rare kind of mate in end game. Interesting indeed!
Lovely combination!
Tal's games are mind-blowing.
0:29 I'm sorry agadmator, I scoured the internet for hours and could find absolutely no information on hoodie guy
Your channel is superb.
what a player - the great Tal!
Holy shit I finally got one of the "pause and see if you can find the move" things right!
Guess I'm ready to take on Tal (if he were still with us)...
this video helped me get revenge on my dad after he crushed me using white. thank you!
I’ve been watching you every day recently and don’t even know much about chess just a really be fan of you
+Avery Bloch Thanks. A bit weird, but thanks :D
My favourite game by Tal❤️
People are afraid to mention that he was also called, "The Devil from Riga". I prefer that one because it truly reflects the fear many opponents had of him.
What an excellent game, thats why all games of my mikhail is very exciting and full of ideas and most of all is in attack mode
Absolutely incredible move! Not sure who was better,Tal or Fisher.Tal in his prime was incredible.I'm leaning Tal.
And welcome to another episode of Tals Happy Hunting round

Wanna calculate how many time you mention "captures" :))))
Very beautiful game, Antonio.
Greetings from Armenia!
amazing game! thanks for the great work
A masterpiece👌
What a truely beautiful checkmate.
I saw the defense instantly when you first mentioned theres one
Wow! This was amazing! What a beautiful game!
@9:55 why not f6 for black threatening Qg7 nxt move.instead of Rf3?
1972 Karoly Honfi vs Mikhail Tal is a must see . Agadmator I suggest this for a video
Gorgeous checkmate!
This is an extraordinary game by Tal. But I suspect that Mr. Robert Forbis was actually Ms. Cathy Forbes.
Beautiful game by the Pirate!
at 9:55 can’t white push f6? then queen to g7 checkmate seems unstoppable?
Incredible mate
In 2020 to 2021 Antonio using Hoodie to Honoured the Hoodie guy.

Vasily Ivanchuk, Bobby Fisher, Mikhail Tal, Nezmetdinov, and Magnus are my favs

That checkmate is amazing.
This is pure magic!!
Tal might had idea for that also .
.but we are not that smart to figure that out
Tal is simply amazing
Continue your Good work !! Keep it up and I would like you to make some teaching videos like openings or some middle game tricks etc, Just one out of your 3 or 4 videos.
Ty for the Christmas present.
Thanks.
holy shit the checkmate move... so beautiful
That Knight really caused some problems at 6:27. Took me a while to see why Qg5 Kh8 h6 Qg7# wasn't possible before that. Genius.
The best tactician of all time 🤩
@9:50 instead of rook f3 what will happen if white plays pawn to f6, I think this defense won't work
Won't work. After snatching white's Knight, if white pawn marches to f6, then black Q can simply snatch white's g2 pawn and protect the g file. Attack is over. White will then certainly lose due to being down tons of material.
@ 10.12 after Queen G6 check the G3 move of rook follwed by queen H6 checkmate is undefendable for black .
Is there any defence for that !
In last part (time 9:50), instead of Rf3, white could play Qg5+ followed by f6 and Qg7+ or if black plays Rg8, then Q X h5+ / Qh6+ is a mate. Right?
Found the move! Wooohooo :D 4th time on this channel!
The only moves I could not found, no matter how much time I took thinking, where the moves played by Rashid Nezhmetdinov
Yeah Rashid and his Queen sacrifices. Heavy stuff
you need to make videos on Efim Geller #suggestion
Wow. Brilliant
Wow i can find this move that a grand Master could not find
But I blunder my queen
Intelligence ↗️↗️
Just wow! Amazing game.
#suggestion any game played by Napoleon. Keep the great job up!!
This is what I like to see
At 8:58, would bringing the rook from a8 to e8 help?
Why didn't the black central E pawn attack the pinned knight in mid-game?
9:53 but if you push f6 there's no way to stop mate! Is there? What am I missing on the analysis?
at 9:50 when queen captures knight , why not again queen g5 with check , lets say king h7 or h8 , and then pawn f6 threatening checkmate with queen g7 next move .. how white can stop this ? i missing something ?
Rg8
yes you are right , i miss this
in your scenario after the knight is captured by the black queen ,,why can,t the pawn push to f6 ,,is,nt it
over after this ,,,what is the defense ?
i saw the hoodie guy on the internet today by accident and burst in tears
What brilliance.
you told us about the defense later in the video but what if white queen capture h6 without moving Knight from d5..?? that would also lead to checkmate..??
#suggestion on 10:40 if black plays h6 he is not saved as there is Qxh6 idea and after something like Qxd5
The checkmate idea after f6 is unstoppeable
After your Qxh6 black play h6 and you dont have nothing. White king have nice square on f7.
Qxg2 is possible for black if white plays f6.
9:53 how will you stop checkmate after f6 followed by queen to g7 instead of that rook to f3
i was thinking about it cannot find the answer. it looks like a checkmate
RUclipsr's Channel Unni Qxg2
@@matsdevink2858 then after knight to e3 what will you do with the queen??
RUclipsr's Channel Unni Lol what knight?
What about Qxg5 check.
King moves to h7 or h8,
Then push pawn to f6.
Simply genius...
What of Qg4 move for the black queen..
Alex Dunne has a book about the Absolute correspondence chess tournament that mentions Robert Forbis.
@agadmator Is Tal your favorite player?
Tal makes so many moves that does not make sense to the opponent while playing the game that they never see that one move that can save them
I thought p-h6 was the saving move for black, but what stops the queen from capturing it? I may have missed something obvious, I'm afraid.
i find this chicago game as iconic as the opera house mate
P.S. you missed some other variations on the position at the end
wonderful!
Tal is super and great at calculations , may be his opponent was scared of Tal with cigarette .😂😂😂
I always wonder what these guys are thinking who play Tal... As far as I can tell, it's something like, "Hmm, who am I paired with? Tal? Great, I'll play the sharpest opening I can think of, maybe people will watch the game on RUclips in 30 years!"
This game is special
Mind blowing
