Thank you, Erik and John for covering these matches and providing technical analysis on reading the wind. It’s very helpful for upcoming shooters. Thanks again.
hey Eric what is the size of the centre ring the V ring, cheers 👍👍🦘🦘✌✌ Also is it the humidity, if so then there good battery powered little fans on stands which you could have pointed at your face while shooting, that way you dont have to wipe your face all the time, ( like the neck types just clip around the front of your neck and it blows all the cool wind directly to your face) some people are very susceptible to humidity others love it, like QLD or Northern Territory in AU its like 35 degrees c and 95% humidity?
@@doylemaintenance thank you for that ,so basically 1270mm and 2540mm, so depending on the retical you can adjust based on the wind etc. .2mm to the right or left depending on what you think the flags are doing and knowing the size of the flags will give you a idea of how much wind hold over you should have etc. 👍👍🦘🦘✌✌
@@7071t6 these flags are nylon, they move real easy compared to cotton. Jennifer is reading mirage, most shooters read mirage. It looks like Carl is watching the flags.
@@doylemaintenance I know its hard, i wonder if they test the flags, per say as in they have the same flags and then blow wind on them to see how much wind there is down range, if you get my drift. Also its hard to read mirage unless you have a good scope which has real good lenses, it would be good if Eric showed the target down range with the mirage so people get to see just how crazy it looks down range and its not going to show what the wind is doing at each flag point or station. cheers 👍👍🦘🦘✌✌

Thanks guys! I know there's a lot of work that goes into putting these together. I've looked forward to these every year.
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing these matches. For us competitors, they are fun to watch!
Glad you like them!
After match interviews would be awesome.
😀look forward to these! Thanks fellas!

I love that Duplin bipod Jennifer is using!
FTR with a .308 requires a wind call on every shot. Even in small winds. Waiting for your shot is a virtue. 45 seconds goes fast.
Humid conditions can really cause eyesight issues, sweat is salty and stings the eyes
I think that match director was slacking a little there in the timer! 😂
Is Carl shooting forbiden free recoil technique, or am I wrong? Nice shooting BTW.
🤷♂️
Hard to tell.
Is the Shotmarker using one target or two? Is there a way to use one target and alternate left and right shooters in the setup?
One target.
Really like the FTR Comp. Was this FTR a 600 yard or 1000 yard match?
1,000 yards.
Well John from my easy chair and timer on phone these guys are both way over on time 70 seconds on one .
I wonder where Jennifer got that unique sunshade...

V ring is 1/2 MOA, 5 ring is 1 MOA
why is the right flag lower than the left flag, they should be at the same height when set up?👍👍🦘🦘✌✌
