If you want to know the story, basically the company treats their employee’s horribly, with the animator zalinki forced to work in a dark closet, by the boss (who is also zalinki) because this represents him torturing himself to keep working himself to death for his content. Everyone in the company is so mistreated in the company that eventually, everyone just snaps. All over the last slice of cake. The janitor without a care in a world represents who he aspires to be. Free from any judgement, not caring about other’s expectations and only worried about what makes HIM happiest.
I feel like janitor represents the part of him who has to clean up his own messes (cause yknow the office is his mental state n all that) and hes so upbeat because everyone is dead except his ego and his true self, he doesnt have anyone to worry about judgement anymore because theres nobody left to judge him but himself, so why not dance instead of cry about it?
I don’t think I’ve ever commented on this video, but this was posted after my third suicide attempt when I was 16. This song completely changed my point of view on life. I started working hard to change my situation. I talked to people. I admitted to myself that I was the one I hated, not everyone else. My life has changed so much thanks to a catchy tune and I’m genuinely an optimist who reaches out for help and listens to bleachers instead of teen suicide. I am not doomed to be sad. I haven't come back to this channel in a while but something in me remembered hearing when this first came out, I didn't quite relate to it in it's entirety but I sympathized with it's message that it was trying to get out with it's funky little tune; especially, with the growth your channel was going through during the time this came out. After listening to it again now it really is something I relate to, maybe not in the same context of the stress in the sudden rise in popularity, but many things going on in my life right now have really affected my relationships with friends and just my mental health in general where I can't really blame others for not sticking around if it's not their responsibility to try to help me when I don't really explain what's going on with me other than make jokes about it. It's exhausting feeling this way, that no matter how much I try to hide it or laugh things off it doesn't make it go away. The burnout of trying to speed through life to meet expectations set from those around me has made me feel useless, where I once was thriving I've now been struggling and failing repeatedly. This comment doesn't really have a happy ending to it that I wish I could tell right now, I want to try to work on reaching out to old friends maybe even make new ones but I guess just even posting this comment and getting these thoughts out there is a good enough first step towards something better. Your song has at least made me feel less alone on this, though we don't share the same experiences it feels similar enough to what you may have been feeling around the time that you made this song, so thank you for being brave enough to share it with us.

This song pulls me out of my paralyzed faze i go into with depression. Its like 'you don't deserve a lot of things and this is one of them to sit around and shit on yourself' it turns my negetivity outward into a pushing force instead of on myself. The only sin of this song is its only a minute long compared to most but its the most impactful with the 1:30 you give it. I love the music. Its inspiring and uplifts me. Truely a work of art.

I was 16 when I first heard this song. I couldn't feel anything. Happiness, pain, touch. I had just kind of stopped feeling and started going through motions. This song hurt. Other Zalinki songs hurt a lot more. I realized I had been in a really shitty place for a really long time. Beginning of this year I started getting therapy. Got diagnosed with some stuff and stopped going. I started working really hard to connect with people. I started doing stupid shit too. I started dancing in the rain, taking pictures of grass, kissing boys, howling at the moon. To an outside observer I looked absolutely insane. I didn't care because I was starting to feel again. Yeah, I have bad days where it all comes back but now I have good days where I can dance and sing and laugh and actually talk to people. I think that one day I'll make it out of this. In the mean time you can find me in the rain dancing in dark. Thanks and stuff for this Zalinki. Most days I wake up glad I never killed myself.

The absurdity of It's Raining, the candid melancholy of CAKE, the janitor here dancing his way out of a horrible tragedy. Sometimes, these parts of life are what you can hold on to to keep moving.✌️

I'm starting to think that the Janitor dancing around is the same guy in Fresh.mp4 Making me think that Fresh.mp4 , The Plan and this video being a trilogy From what I can see that in Fresh.mp4 is the guy/janitor dancing representing that Zalinki wanted to make music but also animate. In The Plan we see that the Zalinki we see in this video is the version when the people wanted him to only focus on animation, pushing his music talent away (or closet room), then finally in This video we see that the employees are dead representing the channel has been dead for awhile (which is a thing for animators since animating takes a long time to do) then the only survivors is the Zalinki in the closet room and the Zalinki wearing shades. My final conclusion, when the guy from Fresh.mp4 gave a thumbs up and leave the door opened for the *real* Zalinki, as a sign that he should focus on his true talent more rather than animating (which is why the Zalinki with shades felt lonely in his office) Honestly, I've been seeing these kinds of videos having 2 persons with different perspectives on their job more recently
I thought of it as the janitor representing Zal's side that is just smiling and dancing through all of this. The one in the closet is his side that is focused on his passion but cant because he is being forced to animate. The Zal in shades is the side of him focused on numbers and fame and all that. That's why he is alone by the end of the video, that's what only focusing on numbers and "the plan" gets you when your office (channel) is dead. The janitor is also doing clean up work which could be applied to his mental state or life as a whole. He cleans up the remains of his dead channel and let's out the part of him being locked away.
I think the slice of cake represents how easily and quickly everyone working together will turn on one another, they just need a reason to. Doesn’t have to be a good one.

I haven't come back to this channel in a while but something in me remembered hearing when this first came out, I didn't quite relate to it in it's entirety but I sympathized with it's message that it was trying to get out with it's funky little tune; especially, with the growth your channel was going through during the time this came out. After listening to it again now it really is something I relate to, maybe not in the same context of the stress in the sudden rise in popularity, but many things going on in my life right now have really affected my relationships with friends and just my mental health in general where I can't really blame others for not sticking around if it's not their responsibility to try to help me when I don't really explain what's going on with me other than make jokes about it. It's exhausting feeling this way, that no matter how much I try to hide it or laugh things off it doesn't make it go away. The burnout of trying to speed through life to meet expectations set from those around me has made me feel useless, where I once was thriving I've now been struggling and failing repeatedly.
This comment doesn't really have a happy ending to it that I wish I could tell right now, I want to try to work on reaching out to old friends maybe even make new ones but I guess just even posting this comment and getting these thoughts out there is a good enough first step towards something better. Your song has at least made me feel less alone on this, though we don't share the same experiences it feels similar enough to what you may have been feeling around the time that you made this song, so thank you for being brave enough to share it with us.

This song pulls me out of my paralyzed faze i go into with depression. Its like 'you don't deserve a lot of things and this is one of them to sit around and shit on yourself' it turns my negetivity outward into a pushing force instead of on myself. The only sin of this song is its only a minute long compared to most but its the most impactful with the 1:30 you give it. I love the music. Its inspiring and uplifts me. Truely a work of art.

I was 16 when I first heard this song. I couldn't feel anything. Happiness, pain, touch. I had just kind of stopped feeling and started going through motions. This song hurt. Other Zalinki songs hurt a lot more. I realized I had been in a really shitty place for a really long time. Beginning of this year I started getting therapy. Got diagnosed with some stuff and stopped going. I started working really hard to connect with people. I started doing stupid shit too. I started dancing in the rain, taking pictures of grass, kissing boys, howling at the moon. To an outside observer I looked absolutely insane. I didn't care because I was starting to feel again. Yeah, I have bad days where it all comes back but now I have good days where I can dance and sing and laugh and actually talk to people. I think that one day I'll make it out of this. In the mean time you can find me in the rain dancing in dark. Thanks and stuff for this Zalinki. Most days I wake up glad I never killed myself.

Making me think that Fresh.mp4 , The Plan and this video being a trilogy
From what I can see that in Fresh.mp4 is the guy/janitor dancing representing that Zalinki wanted to make music but also animate. In The Plan we see that the Zalinki we see in this video is the version when the people wanted him to only focus on animation, pushing his music talent away (or closet room), then finally in This video we see that the employees are dead representing the channel has been dead for awhile (which is a thing for animators since animating takes a long time to do) then the only survivors is the Zalinki in the closet room and the Zalinki wearing shades.
My final conclusion, when the guy from Fresh.mp4 gave a thumbs up and leave the door opened for the *real* Zalinki, as a sign that he should focus on his true talent more rather than animating (which is why the Zalinki with shades felt lonely in his office)

I thought of it as the janitor representing Zal's side that is just smiling and dancing through all of this. The one in the closet is his side that is focused on his passion but cant because he is being forced to animate. The Zal in shades is the side of him focused on numbers and fame and all that.
That's why he is alone by the end of the video, that's what only focusing on numbers and "the plan" gets you when your office (channel) is dead. The janitor is also doing clean up work which could be applied to his mental state or life as a whole. He cleans up the remains of his dead channel and let's out the part of him being locked away.
