Pixel Dan's Epic Toy Hunt Adventure: Masters of the Universe Book Signing Turns into Toy Treasure Hunt!
Welcome back, toy enthusiasts, to another thrilling episode of Pixel Dan's Toy Hunts! Today, join Pixel Dan on an extraordinary journey as he embarks on a dual mission: a book signing for his acclaimed Masters of the Universe toy book and an unexpected toy treasure hunt at St. Louis Comics and Toys!
As Pixel Dan arrives at St. Louis Comics and Toys for his eagerly anticipated book signing event, excitement fills the air. Fans from far and wide have gathered to meet the man behind the definitive guide to the iconic Masters of the Universe toy line. Little does Pixel Dan know, his visit to the legendary toy store is about to take an unexpected turn.
Upon setting foot inside, Pixel Dan is greeted by rows upon rows of vintage and modern toys, triggering waves of nostalgia and anticipation. But something seems amiss as he notices his designated signing area strategically positioned next to the Masters of the Universe section. Could it be a coincidence, or has St. Louis Comics and Toys orchestrated a clever ploy to tempt Pixel Dan's inner collector?
Undeterred by the temptation, Pixel Dan begins the book signing, engaging with fans, signing copies of his book, and sharing anecdotes about his journey through Eternia. However, as the event unfolds, Pixel Dan can't shake the feeling that every glance towards the Masters of the Universe display is luring him deeper into the world of toy collecting.
After the book signing concludes, Pixel Dan decides to explore the aisles of St. Louis Comics and Toys, and that's when the real adventure begins. As he navigates through the store, he stumbles upon a treasure trove of classic toys from beloved toy lines and cartoons of yesteryear.
First up, Pixel Dan uncovers a rare gem: vintage James Bond Jr. action figures, transporting him back to the action-packed world of espionage and intrigue. With a twinge of nostalgia, he recalls the countless adventures of James Bond's nephew and his daring escapades.
Continuing his journey through the store, Pixel Dan's eyes widen with delight as he discovers a set of Flintstones collectibles, featuring everyone's favorite Stone Age family in all their prehistoric glory. From Fred and Wilma to Barney and Betty, these timeless treasures evoke cherished memories of childhood Saturday morning cartoons.
But the surprises don't end there! Pixel Dan's toy hunt leads him to the iconic Mask toy line, where he unearths a cache of masked crusaders and their transforming vehicles. With a sense of wonder, he marvels at the intricate designs and imaginative play features that made Mask a beloved favorite among toy enthusiasts.
As Pixel Dan delves deeper into the store, his journey takes an unexpected turn into the realm of science fiction with the discovery of Aliens action figures. From Xenomorphs to Colonial Marines, these spine-chilling collectibles pay homage to the iconic film franchise and its enduring legacy in the world of action figures.
Throughout his adventure, Pixel Dan reflects on the joy of toy collecting and the timeless appeal of these classic franchises. From the thrilling adventures of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to the imaginative worlds of James Bond Jr., The Flintstones, Mask, and Aliens, each toy holds a special place in the hearts of collectors young and old.
Join Pixel Dan as he embarks on this unforgettable toy hunt, filled with nostalgia, excitement, and the enduring magic of childhood imagination. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more epic toy adventures with Pixel Dan!

What do you think? Did they purposefully put me in front of those toys!?
Of course they did, lol. I’m watching now I bet you buy the Walky Talkies, ⚡️😎
Yup! & Rightfully so😂🤷🏿♂️😂. Besides being Good Business, it's Good Composition.
Honestly…surprised you didn’t but those walkie talkies last time. We all knew it was coming. 😂
I assure you that we only moved a rack out of the way to fit a table and chair there for you. Did not rearrange toys for your visit. But if/when you come back..... Oh you better believe I'm blowing that section up with MOTU. 😂😂😂😂
Whoa. 7:21 I just showed off this exact T.H.I.N.G.S. playset in a livestream. I had the same reaction. It was buried DEEP in my brain.
I’ve been collecting Masters for over 20 years and it just doesn’t get old!
Actually James Bond Jr isn't James Bond's son, it's his nephew. It's in the theme lyrics. "He learned the game from his uncle James, now he's heir to the name ..."
Thanks Dan. Your toy hunt videos are always a delight. Appreciate your efforts.
Amazing Video Pixel Dan! Truly Entertaining and Informative! 🤩😃😁👍👍
Love the T.H.I.N.G.S. and this especially knight and bats version, special memories, thanks a lot Pixel Dan! Stay heavy and blessings! 🤘😎
Thanks, you too!
Amazing figures awesome vid Dan
Glad you like them!
That milton bradley Things Knight was mesmerizing to watch. Very cool. Excellent find.
Dude, I just want to thank you personally for filming that Sir Ring-a-Lot!! I had that toy as a kid, and had completely forgotten about it. That’s what I love about collecting, just when I think I’ve uncovered it all, something like this comes along and hits the nostalgia so strong. I went ahead and bought a nice one on eBay, can’t wait to get my hands on it again LOL. Thanks again!
Great video, Awesome meeting you in Xenia and your book is awesome Bro, “ REBELS NO RULES” ⚡️😎
Love comments like these!
I can get used to Saturday Morning Toy Hunts
Every Saturday Morning at 9am!
Love the MOTU book. ❤
Nostalgic Dopamine, that makes the wallet scream
Ha! Love it!
Awesome pieces! I hope to meet you soon and have my book signed 😁👍
I hope so too!
My boyfriend @chrisbryancustoms made the MOTU customs!! Mosss-Quitor!!! That’s so cool!!!! We had so much fun meeting you!!
I had never seen THINGS before, those THINGS sure are cool
Great video!
Thanks! Views seem to be down on this one
They totally set up all the MOTU merch and said “ok let’s call Dan now, and oh his table is going there? Put all these baggies of vintage behind him”
MB Things! I never knew what this line was called but I definitely had some. Great find!
I love that the UFO figures were obviously released to bank on the X-files popularity. You can tell just by the design of the title packaging.
Mossquitor looks amazing! Makes me wonder why Mosquitor didn't have wings.
Great vid Dan, loving your toy hunt content!
Thanks so much!
I’ve always wanted a copy of that Horde book! Nice find! And the only THING game I had was a green Godzilla looking dino that was in a purple egg that would bust open. Would be cool to see a nice boxed collection of those. Also loved the James Bond Jr carded stuff, I still have the few I got when I was a kid
I had that blue UFO Files alien as a kid! He was my stand-in for Martian Man Hunter when I played Justice League. He clearly looked like the “good guy” of the line.
I love hearing how people used their toys as a kid!
Pixel Dan> How do I get a hold of your action figgure?
Cool store and video 😊
James Bond Jr. was Bond's nephew not son. He was named after his uncle but when he became a teen agent he started going by James Bond Jr.
11:44 Oh man, there used to be a toy store around here that had piles upon piles of this thing! And this wasn't in the 90s, this was sometime around mid-2010s! They just sat at a discount for years for like three dollars a pop!
Totally want to track down all of the T.h.i.n.g.s line now!
Of course they did on purpose, but who would blame them😉great Haul though. I espacially like the MOTU Storybook by Bruce Time, He's 2nd best right behind the almighty Alcala. That 3D Wall Deco He Man is quite pricey but it looks awesome.
THINGS, the Mask, and Flintstone Kids…good stuff again man. The prices there don’t seem bad at all. I like Walker D Plank myself. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
My main focus for years now has been comics, so I’d be diving in all of those bins lol
Odd Job looks like MC Hammer on the gas.
Wow! Yes, he does.
I thought for sure you were going to get those UFO figures.
I kind of did too! I was shocked when I got to the end of the video and saw that I didn't buy them!
You better not drive prices up on THINGS. I collect them.
Hey pixel dan love ur toy hunts I’m glad ur still making content
Thanks so much! Comments like these are why I'm still making them!
@@PixelDanToyHunts yes ur the best review channel out there
That's an incredibly high benchmark. Not sure if I am that!!
@@PixelDanToyHunts well I think you are
I'm flattered! Thank you so much!
Those are actually room to room phones. So cool. I had something similar in the early mid 80s.
Awesome!
Hey Dan if you ever make it over to the UK, either working a match or for a convention, we would love to have you visit us at Geek World. We just opened yesterday and are growing quickly with everything from vintage / retro toys to S H Figurearts. Vidoe games. A huge amount of wrestling figures slowly going out (no one is getting our Jim Cornette that stays in the shop). Comic books. Disney collectibles and toys. Pokemon toys and cards... basically anything in our Geek World. We are posting to the channel with updates of what we have and putting out the next day.
But anyway a long way to say if you are in the UK please let us know we would love to work out getting you to Geek World for a little bit.
I’m always up for new places to do book signings and toy hunts! I do have a price package for you to have me as a guest if you’re interested!
I was a a Toy Show this weekend and saw 2 T.H.I.N.G.S sets, The Knight and bat set and the Kong set.
Love those!
I just sold that exact same THINGS piece today at a show. Love those little guys. They also make a matching MOTU AM/FM cassette player too FYI
I had that things set.
13:32 Hudson, Vasquez and O'Malley saw VERY limited release in the main Aliens line so when Kenner re-issued them through Kay Bee in these 2 packs it was a great way to get a shot at them. I had every Alien, Marine and Predator except these 3 so I'm always tempted to track them down.
I hope you got those $5 aliens, they would fit with Ben 10. Your boys favorite toy line
Those look like some really good prices. I live next to Eternia Dreams, their prices aren't that low.
Oh wow! You don't think so?
I need the smaller character guide and world compendium that BBTS sold with your toy book and I'll have all the dark horse books. Seems to be hard to find now.
oh yea?
Yeah, it's getting harder and harder to find.
Great grab on the walkies. 🙂
Thanks! They're fantastic!
Also, I saw you selling the new shirt on Ed’s channel. When can we get it online?
Your comments made me remember the Johnny Quest cartoon, did they ever make a toy line?
Oh man, that’s a great question
have quite a few of the James bond jr items on display. it was james bonds nephew though not son.
Yea, my bad.
@PixelDanToyHunts is weird tho as he was an orphan in the books and only child. Also loved the video with the double dragon cruiser made me go and dig those out from my parents artic and put them on display.
Yea, cartoons don’t make sense
Where is this store?
Pick me up that Flintstones kids dream chip and ill trade you your missing dungeons and dragons parts to the playset. (White Skull and green panel)
.
We were pretty close to Baldwinsville NY, where the MOTU wall hangers came from. We had a small stack of like 4-5 of the Man-at-Arms in the hanging displays that Mom got somewhere in the mid -80's, probably for less than a Quarter.. I remember my brother had kept a couple in the packages with the intention of selling them years later, I would laugh at him and say they were worthless.. They kicked around the house for years, they were obviously well made, and a couple kids who we knew that liked Masters got 2 of them over the proceeding years. I believe the last one remaining was given as a prize at a neighborhood carnival in the early/mid 90's, the kid who ended up with it said it would be worth something someday and he would keep it in the package, ha ha!!
