Trains at Liverpool Lime Street - 18/05/2021

Filmed on 18/05/2021. After a years gap, it is time for the return to a personal favorite station and area to go to. Yep, this is the return to Liverpool Lime Street, Merseyside (Season 8 Episode 10)
After the much trouble that the 'C' has caused, quite a few train operators has to sadly cut back their services. Such as London North Western Railway which used to run their Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston via Birmingham New Street. Transpennine Express had to also cut back on their Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough services.
A few changes as well at this station as we see the replacement for Virgin Trains, Avanti West Coast which runs hourly services between Liverpool and London Euston via Crewe. Northern wasn't running trouble free either as during the time, the CAF Class 195's & 331's most of them are taken out of service due to issues with their Dampers.
During a 2 hour trainspotting session, this is the mixed variety that was seen:

Thanks very much, happy to hear you have enjoyed it. Right, I better make some plans for visiting Merseyside for this year. Yeah, I can get the notables in from Merseyrail. A shame they are getting withdrawn but hopefully, they will have a special rail tour as a farewell to them.

8:10 to get to that place where your standing do you need to go through the ticket barrier or is it connecting to like platforms 10, 9, 8 etc where their isn't a barrier

Well, there are ticket barriers at Liverpool Lime Street but none to get between platforms. This is why I filmed on both sides of the station to get the Transpennine, Transport For Wales and many more.

There were no trains to Manchester on the electrified route through Eccles on this video.
Don't they go any more? Can't believe. What rolling stock is used now on that line then?

Yeah, Northern does operate services via Eccles which is normally the trains which are destined for: Manchester Victoria or Crewe. Northern uses either: Class 319's, 323's or 331's.
Transpennine Express and Transport For Wales speeds through Eccles station with trains for:
Newcastle/Edinburgh to Liverpool Lime Street
Manchester Airport to Llandudno/Holyhead/Chester

It's an epic station to go to. You do but there Network Rail sign in office was shut.

Hey @rlproductionsyt , on platform seven is the best place to spot from. There are no ticket barriers so just walk to the end. Hope this helps! (oh and if you do want to go on to the ticketed platforms, just ask a member of staff, they’re really kind.)
