I feel bad for boss Yang, he pays for the employee's rent when they were struggling, feeds them almost every week and visits their parents and treats their parents nicely, and is still called stingy. Like in this video he didn't even eat much and he paid 500+ wth. The employees should at least asked before ordering more.
ngl i used to love this show but recently i’ve been getting super annoyed at everyone here except boss yang. i feel so bad for him. i understand how this is korea’s culture and how everything works, as I’m korean myself, but if someone else was paying for the meal, i definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering 60 dollar plates of food on my own as much as i want. no offence to that actress, but how can she eat like that when it’s her first time with everyone there? show some respect please. whenever i eat with other families or friends, my parents and other parents fight to pay the bill, because they feel bad for letting others pay. but they just walk out leaving boss yang to pay 500 worth of food? and it’s not like he doesn’t treat them very often, and all the hosts of the show are doing are making fun of him for being so stingy. of course, cause you’re not the one paying. yes, in korea the bosses or whatever often buy meals for coworkers, but this is too much.

I feel like that will be how they behaves off screen as well. One who was taught to be courteous and have table manners would not behave that way regardless. The actress behaves as if she hasn’t eaten her whole lives, even a beggar would be more polite than her.

If someone is paying for a meal, it’s normal to ask the person who’s paying before ordering. That guy sneakily going to aside to add more orders knowing that Boss Yang is not comfortable paying is rude. Everyone else who are being so inconsiderate are just as rude and don’t even get me started with that old lady. Scooping everything up from a shared platter is so barbaric regardless of whether that food is paid for or not, you don’t even do that in a buffet.
Dude relax, they are his family and he consider them as their brothers and sisters. People who are close enough from them to order sneakily means their relationship is very concrete. You wouldnt do that to someone you considered stranger. It's like you order sneakily from a dad or brother who's treating you a meal.
All production companies offsets the cost of food, travel and other amenities. It's like battle trip, my little old boy and I live alone, those shows often showcase group meals etc... so the celebs front the cost and on their next paycheque from the company they get compensated. In Korea, if you're a full time worker, it usually comes with a meal/lunch so even the production crew that eat out, get compensated / an allowance for it. Don't believe everything you see, it's just for show (quite literally). Plus the bosses make more money, the larger the reaction is (so honestly it's better if they ordered more) because they can get more royalties from air time, reruns and even views from online videos. As well, more people would sign up to his gym because of the chance they would get of possibly seeing famous actors/celebs that go there. It's literally a win win situation for him. Do you really think people would do these kinds of shows if it inconvenienced them and only humiliated him (ie calling him beggar yang)? No. He's getting paid. So calm down and think logically about how the system work before you go nuts kiddo. I work with production companies, shoots and etc on the regular, that's the standard in both North America and Asia, and honestly based on personal experience, it's way easier to get compensation / pass expenditures in large Asian companies because they aren't as nitpick and extensive with reports for filing claims for audits.

Gyeongmun ordering the additional 2 platters of fish and 4 platters of shrimp was wrong and disrespectful of Boss Yang. Boss Yang paid his rent for him when he was struggling. Gyeongmun didn't win any prize competition nor honestly add much value to the show. He was arrogant and overstepped in his actions.

There are lots of re-uploaded videos of this show but I prefer watching even if it takes time for this channel to upload with subtitles, sometimes I take time watching the Korean versions with no subtitles even if I don't understand what they are talking and then wait here for the English versions to be uploaded.

@@barrylilt yeah people will say that : (everyone should eat as they want if you choose not to eat big it's your loss) but it's still kinda not very great mentality , what if someone choose to eat half of the platter because first come first served and leave the other half for 4 others to figure out how to get a bite, not cool it discouraged eating together .
