Really nowadays if someone is completely dedicated towards studies he can do it anywhere. With the advent of online free mooc's and youtube and plethora of free ebooks you can study anything at the comfort of your home. This pandemic has really levelled everyone now IIT'ians are also watching the same lecture that you can watch(we can watch even better from mooc's of mitx and other mooc's) . In IIT's there is only one difference that they are compelled to study whatever they give, they want you to study on the name of placement.(which does'nt suit to everyone style of learning). As someone said Education without freedom is boredom.
I would rather say join any college which is less hectic . And hustle in any domain you want to join for 3-4 years. And Hurray! you are among 10% in that domain .

Obviously in a parallel way you must enjoy with your friends. But never lose your dream. At IIT Delhi Professor S.C. Dutta Roy from Electrical Engineering Department is one of the gems of there's faculty. So you're also blessed to have such kind of faculty members!

Most of the IITians aspire for big salary jobs and that's why there is no real technology growth in our country bcz almost none of the IITians have true love and passion towards technology...All they want is big salary nothing else ..Rather i have seen a lot of graduate students who r having brilliant and unique ideas in technology ...
