Split star quilt block - video tutorial

- I came across this great tutorial for a split star by Stash Bee and I couldn't resist putting it to work.
This tutorial not only teaches you how to make this great block but also it teaches you to make half square triangles and flying geese at the same time. It's certainly a skill booster.

This is so good!!! I'm still pretty new to quitling and have been STRUGGLING with flying geese. on top of being a super cute block the technique you used to make the geese was easy for me to understand and follow!!! Thank you!!!

Loved the pattern, and the sewing techniques for making it were well demonstrated. A very clear and concise tutorial. The colors you've chosen make the star really pop out. I did end up turning the music off though.

If you trim your HSTs before you press them open, you only have to trim two sides rather than all four!

Can you do more tutorials using the GO dies, please? At least thank you for telling us the square up size of your blocks. I have all the dies to make it with the AccuQuilt GO.

It could be the sewing or cutting accuracy. Are you sewing with a scant 1/4” seam allowance?
I had the same problem! Instead of 3 7/8, I used 4" blocks and it works much better
