I attended a RC girls school in the 50s in albuq...we had to memorize this and the whole school along with the Sisters of Charity sang this in unison in the auditorium. It was so beautiful ...and when I recite this aloud by memory or silently it will always be in that song cadence. thank you O Lord for laying this in my heart to praise You. amen

It is so true and so sad how easy it is to forget all the benefits God has poured out on us...given today, forgotten tomorrow, over n' over....next blessing please!....more more! ...gratitude?....where what? God is so "long suffering"... but it certainly displays His mercy, kindness, goodness, patience....sadly though, long suffering mostly.

Dear believer, we hear from God through His word by the Holy Spirit. We don't hear Him audibly or in our minds but by the Holy Spirit speaking to our spirit through His word only. For if we believe by faith He hears us, that's God's promise to us. Which is why it's so important for all of us to continue in His word every day so that His Spirit can speak to our spirit and to our needs, not our want's but our needs and only God truly knows our needs. It's not enough to believe if we neglect His word. God Bless.
