My brother was in the Army, he is no longer with us. My cousin is currently serving overseas in the Air Force. For this clown to make such an egregious claim is sickening.🤮🤢🤮

I'm a retired Navy Chief. I'm no hero, but I have a concern that has not been mentioned concerning Walz's service. His bio says he served in the guard from 1981 to 2005 for a total of 24 years, however it also says that he taught in China in 1989 - the same year as the Tiananmen Square Massacre. I deployed that year on the USS Tarawa with the Marine BLT 1/9 and spent most of the second half of the year in the South China Sea after the massacre. How does a guy serving in the military get a teaching job when China is not yet fully open to foreigners and claim to have credit for serving in the guard the same year? This just doesn't add up.

I’m curious about the 30+ trips to China while he had access to government documents.
In the reserves and national guard you can take leaves of absence by filing the right paperwork and by making up time in a variety of ways. Reserves and National guard is unlike active duty in that service is part time often once a month except for summer training and unit deployment. I have no idea about Walz case or particulars.

I tell people I served during Desert Storm, but I was not in battle. There is a difference. You would know this if you served. The media tends to do the bulk of the vetting, the rest is closed door discussions on what narratives they can spew out. I've listened to the news about Walz and assumed he spent 24 years in the National Guard and never was in combat. With Vance being in the Marines, from the news reports I assumed he did see combat. Only in the last couple of days I became aware that Vance was a correspondent for the Marines and never in combat. I don't seen where Vance gets off claiming "stolen valor". When you enlist, you never know when or if you are going to be in combat. It is especially weird for Vance to accuse Walz of Stolen Valor when his running mate, Trump, evaded the draft 5 times with fake claims of bone spurs.

Governor Walz served for 24 years, four more years than he needed to for retirement. He served years after 9:11 and retired months before the deployment order was given. His rank has been verified by the national guard. If you do a minimum amount of googling, you will be able to debunk this to yourself. But apparently you cannot do the minimum work required to realize that these people are lying to you.
