For all of you Betsy fans, she appears in a small cameo in the film!
She plays the Former Stripper.
+halo67994 she should have played Cathy in the film... hah
Siri Hammond boi but Anna Kendrick was AMAZING. Her voice and Jeremy’s voice were perfect together. Plus Anna has more experience acting in a film and a musical. I can’t hear Betsy’s voice mix well with Jeremy.
Anna did a great job, and Betsy is a doll, would have liked to have seen her on stage as Cathy, but I wish they would have went with Samantha Barks. Wonder if she even auditioned.
I knew it !!! It looked like her but I wasn’t sure if it was her
Betsy is amazing as Cathy but Anna is a little better I loved Anna and her voice with Jeremy
halo67994 I haven’t seen the musical but did Betsy play the main character in the musical, but played a minor role in the movie?
She definitely knows how to get the laughs. Her voice is great and she plays into the words well. I'd love to see her version of Cathy.
She gave so much new personality to Cathy
The way she says "hot water" makes me crack up every time!!
having heard this song done to death....wow! what a fresh breath of air! Such life and interpretation injected into this song! Was like listening to it the first time!
YES
Betsy's smile can light up even the darkest of places.
how does she belt so high it astounds me
5 hours of standing in line?
+TheRealXenia You should listen to Sierra Boggess in phantom of the opera!
Jimena Pardo she does a mix, though.
it's a mix
Mixing
This is beyond incredible. And to think they raised the key... She is just a new bread of performers.
Sutton raised the bar for them all, and it shows. WOW
Ha. Totes upper crust. #tinapay
I always lose it when she says "nope" after "I could...look like I was 17"
ZomgItsTaelin Even though she could completely and totally pass for 17!
Love anna kendrick, but Betsy is flawless.
ChelleIsRandom please listen to Cheri Rene Scott sing The Last Five Years, shes the original and better than Betsy, but Betsy is flawless too.
+McKayla Gurr Technically the original Cathy was Laura Kennedy, but all four Cathy's were brilliant (From smaller productions I also highly recommend Colleen Ballinger)
Haha she changed it to "Barnes and Nobles"!
Best rendition I've seen of this song thus far, simply amazing.
I completely agree
i loooooooove this. the way she says "Wayne" kills me every friggen time.
I honestly can see her playing Elsa
She was actually in the lab production of Frozen!
She’s a total Glinda type though 🤔
It's unhealthy how much I've watched this within 24 hours of finding this
omfg flawless! Betsy Wolfe is 100% my favourite Cathy from all the ones I've heard, I love the little extra bits she does, she's not just singing a song, she's properly performing it! Love, love, LOVE her!
Am I the only one who wants her to play Heidi Hansen when she gets a older!!!
HOLY SHIT YES
The way she does this song is perfection.
This is so fantastic, the note at the end of "I finally got something right" is just exquisite.
SHE CAME TO MY CAMP AND PERFORMED AND IM STILL SWOONING MONTHS LATER
I've only just discovered this musical, and so obviously I'm used to the original Broadway cast. I have to say, that I didn't like her interpretation as much as someone who's probably heard a hundred renditions of it, but what I can say is this. Since I first listen to this song, I have been singing it on repeat. It is not an easy song to sing. This woman has and amazingly strong voice. It seemed to me that she was she was singing as strongly as she possibly could, and it paid off. An amazing performance.
Well bloody said.
Jasmine Taylor Really? I'm also a new fan of this show, and I think this rendition is incredible! I love the humor she's injected into the song! I think this show can be really, really, really funny with the right cast and director. One of my least favorite parts of the movie was the fact that it was sooooo melodramatic that it lost some of the show's amazing humor and wit.
i have no words. i only just discovered this song this morning and it's still one of my favourite renditions of ANY musical song that i've ever seen.
Absolutely stunning rendition.
She just soars while singing this and just brings so much new life to it
"Barnes and Noble"
I was just introduced to Betsy Wolf while watching “Falsettos” 2016 revival...she’s phenomenal...definitely a star! I love connecting with people when I find out about a fabulous talent! 🤗💜 Anyone else have more musicals/musical talent recommendations? I’m all ears!
She is fabulous.
The first version of this I've ever seen where I didn't feel like they were shouting at me the whole time...
My friend and I sing this in the halls of my school and its just great. I love this musical. It's just wonderful. I can't even.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE her version, LOL! She's incredible!
betsy slays my entire existence.
Best rendition of this song I've ever seen. Amazing!!! 😍
I live at least five or ten minutes away from where she lives and yes,I am from the valley too. This girl is a true inspirational to me if she could make it from the valley then I can too. You go Betsy, keep on doing your thing girl! Just to be clear here folks I'm trying to become an author NOT a singer on Broadway.
WHY OH WHY IS SHE SO PERFECT?!
What an amazing and inspiring talent! Incredible
What an extraordinary artist. Beautiful and talented.
Very good rendition indeed. Love the character and various emotions that come out in this version.
That belt though
...I’ve watched this video like once for ever day of the past month...
This is freaking amazing, her voice on its own is incredible
She's awesome.
Betsy Wolfe is absolutely fantastic I get chills every time I watch this performance. Anna Kendrick won't compare in the movie….
Tru
Haha, I thought so too, but she blows all other renditions out of the water!
I actually think Anna did amazing! I think they about come equal. Totally different approaches and both amazing and perfect for Cathy!
I have to disagree on that. I really just don't like Anna's timbre. But to each their own.
I love Anna, but I'm not sure about her Cathy. Especially when performances like this exist...
Love! Love! Love! What a voice without any singing bug.
Beautiful!
Oh my god this is sooo amazing 😩😩😩
LOVE!!! She's fantastic!!
she’s so gorgeous omg
Apparently at least two people that watched this are from and I guess really love Ohio ...
😂😂
Betsy - what a voice!
Y. Is. She. So. Freaking. Amazing.
literally everything i want to be and more 😍😍😍
The way she does this is soooo damn sweet and cute. You really really feel the character shining through and I adore her
Wish i could've seen her when she was Cathy on broadway, too bad I was being born lol
I hated her voice until watching this video. In such awe
THIS IS HILARIOUS OH MY GOD
BABY!
Higher key🤯🤯 That was a G5 at the end!!
Wow just wow
I luved her ending better than Sheri's
the best cathy
I'm in love?
She got so high on “that’s me” and I’m just wondering how??????
Betsy, you better WORK
she could totally play cady heron she sounds like henningsen
Can I marry her voice
Belts a high G!
Tone it down lady
Thoritorium No! Never!! Give us MORE!!!
Shrill and unappealing. She was playing with the words too much. Give me Sherie Rene Scott any day!
she's amazing tf
stagestud lol no
This is hilarious knowing her Alma Mater is the University of Cincinnati
I prefer Anna Kendrick. Betsy is good as well.
