My partner has had that happen to him, but we figured it was because we have silicone rings & water had gotten trapped underneath it. He used an antibiotic/antifungal cream ONLY, and after a few days the skin was back to normal.
I’ve also had the same type of “burn” under my wedding rings. I have no idea what caused it. Consider adding a bit of antibiotic ointment after your hand cream to seal in the moisture and kill any germs. Also- I’m a collector of Nomad palettes, so I’m happy to see this will be available a bit longer. There were quite a few releases this year and my budget has me a bit behind on purchasing. But I’m totally picking this one up.
I get rashes like that under a ring sometimes. I think I get sweat or something under it and it gets trapped and irritates the skin. Sometimes it peels.
👍 I agree that this is a lovely holiday palette that will be fun to use through the winter. I did order it, but I’m also going to order the Trixie Cosmetics Snow Bunny release on Thursday as well. Both give me that cozy winter vibes!🩵
2 of Nomad Cosmetics palettes for the holidays left my collection. One was for rescue pets and the Finland one. Just passed them to friends getting into makeup. Everything else stays! 😂 This is such a beautiful palette. Be prepared to cry at the film - not Neverending Story crying - but crying nonetheless. For your ring finger - a little aloe vera infused bacitracin ointment.
so interesting that after you put that darkest brown in i was like damn i liked the red before. seems like you were thinking the same because you went back and added more red HAHA love how the look turned out!!! thinking of picking up this palette but on the fence bc i have a long wish list and black friday is coming up so i gotta make some decisions
I get eczema under my engagment ring if I don't take it off when I do anything with the least bit of moisture. I think the little space under the stone traps water and bacteria and it just sits there against the skin. It dries out, it gets itchy as all hell, and then I get flaky. So now I have to take my ring off every time I wash my hands - which is fine at home, but tricky in public when womens' clothing has so few pockets!
What a pretty look you created! You're not alone in not having seen the film of Polar Express. I haven't, either, because I think the style of animation is really unsettling and creepy. Not in a fun way. Also... prepare your rotten veg to chuck at me... I don't really enjoy Christmas. I hate most Christmas movies and songs, I hate having all of the festivity shoved down my throat from early October, I hate the über-commercialism of the season. If other people love the holidays, I love that for them. They should keep it to themselves and not try to foist it on me. To absolutely no one's surprise, one of the only holiday movies I like is the original half-hour cartoon Grinch tv special (not the Jim Carrey monstrosity or the new animated feature-length). The other Christmas films I like (love, really) are Muppet Christmas Carol and Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. Because... Muppets and Jim Henson.
I can't stand that movie. The hyper-realistic animation is super creepy. The book is sweet, but it doesn't make me nostalgic. I think I can easily pass on this one.

It's probably soap getting stuck and drying out your skin there where the ring sits

The way I cackled at the white inner corner 😂

Dumb question, but if you're allergic to chocolate, would the cocoa butter not bother you?
Nope! 🖤. My chocolate allergy is only if I actually eat it. I love using cocoa butter and pretty much every candle I buy smells like chocolate. 😆
Reminds of another blue palette you had, Hunting Lodge something or other? I can't even remember the brand now so I know that's not helpful at all 😅.

I think the animation looks creepy, toooooo! To the point where I refuse to watch the film. Yikes. 😬
Boring☹☹☹
